Grand Bay Westfield, New Brunswick, CanadaGreat House but a rundown furnishings in living area.
Left on 03/11/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We thoroughly enjoyed the house for the 8 days we were there. 8 adults and 3 small children. The pool and hot tub were great but the heat was not turned on until 24 hours after we were there. After we checked in we called because we had paid for two bassinets for babies and only had 1 (plus the problem with the pool)Our garbage bin was full and we took it to the curb as we noticed all the other homes have theirs out. An explanation would have been nice. The number we were given to call if there was a problem went directly to voicemail and we were no called back until the next morning.
The kitchen is beautiful but missing some of the basics like spoons. All the small appliances were either not working or only partially. The furniture in the living room has seen better days and very low to the ground not good for the over 50's.
These are all small things but very annoying.
On the plus side, when we had an internet problem they responded within 30 minutes. The bedrooms were all good with good beds and bathrooms. The house was great for my family and close to so many things. -

LV, NV, United States2nd time staying here.
Left on 11/06/2012 for a stay in November 2012
This was our second time staying here and love the location and the fact that it is pet friendly. The kitchen was our favorite place, great stove, fridge and eating area, bring sharp knives if you intend to do any cutting although the rental has plenty of cooking knives they were all blunt. The BBQ could do with a refresh as it was difficult to fire up but once going it's a super hot BBQ.
We love the location and would recommend it to any groups from 4 like we were to 12. -
Nephi, UT, United StatesFun Family Vacation!
Left on 10/09/2012 for a stay in September 2012
The house is ideally located in the area. We were right by Legoland and about 20 minutes from Sea World and the San Diego Zoo (depending on traffic of course). The house is very nice, big and spacious. We enjoyed all the different levels and loved that each bedroom had a bathroom attached to it. The hot tub and pool were a hit. We enjoyed them every night after all the trips to the theme parks and the beach. It doesn’t have air conditioning and we were told that is normal for the area. We were told to open the windows and it was so nice to have the ocean breeze coming through the windows. The house is right on the beach of a lagoon that is gorgeous. The guys were able to fish right off the beach. We would love to plan another trip and stay at the house again.

Akron, Ohio, United StatesNot what you would expect
Left on 08/27/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We trapped 8 mice in the house over 4 nights (ran out of traps). Had to spray for ants. Most of kitchen ware (plates, flatware, pots and pans had food residue on them & dirty dishes in dishwasher when we arrived), it took 2 1/2 minutes for hot water to get to kitchen, (I timed it). Furniture generally worn, holes in screen doors, all bedrooms faced I-5 across the lagoon (traffic noise), no A/C (my bad for not asking). Worth less than half what they ask.

Sun City West, AZ, United StatesExpensive disappointment
Left on 08/20/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Broken oven, refrigerator, toaster, toaster oven just a few of the problems with this home. For the price it should have been cleaner and everything in working order. Pool was nice but dirty, spa never worked, no T'v's in most bedrooms in spite of pictures showing them, one bedromm had no storage space including closet or drawers...hard to count it as a bedroom in psite of two beds. On positive side, beds were comfortable, enough seating for a large crowd, and plenty of pots/pans etc, which could have come in useful if food hadn't gone bad in non working appliances!

Gilbert, AZ, United StatesGreat for Large Family or Groups
Left on 07/26/2012 for a stay in July 2012
The living area in the house is great for large families or a group of families. Loved the pool and the hot tub. The fire pit was nice at night. The property could have been cleaner but it was livable. The beach at the bottom of the property was not great. There is a great beach about 2 miles down the road. During our stay there was a mouse in the house. The property management company was quick to respond. We stayed with 2 other families and had plenty of room.

Left on 07/24/2012 for a stay in July 2012
House is huge! Very nice place but a but dated. Beautiful new granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances... But run down 1970's cupboards and drawers.
Patio furniture could be replaced.
Important things are all there. Location size and cleanliness. -

Scottsdale, AZ, United StatesFAMILY REUNION
Left on 07/23/2012 for a stay in July 2012
PLENTY OF ROOM, GREAT LAYOUT FOR 3 FAMILIES - WE HAD 11, 6 ADULTS AND 5 CHILDREN FROM 7 TO 16. EVERYONE WAS HAPPY WITH LOCATION, SO MUCH TO DO. KIDS LOVED THE WATER SPORTS ON THE LAGOON, POOL AND HOT TUB AND OF COURSE THE BEACH, 5-10 MINUTES AWAY. LEGOLAND WAS ALSO ENJOYED BY ALL. WE VISITED THE SEAPORT FOR DINNER AND SOME OF OUR GROUP TOOK A DAY TRIP UP TO HOLLYWOOD AND TOOK A TOUR.
SEDANS COULD NOT BE PARKED DOWN ON DRIVEWAY.
SMALL APPLIANCES, TOASTER, TOASTER OVEN NEED UPDATING, EVERYTHING ELSE WORKED FINE.
DEFINITELY NOT FOR HANDICAP, A LOT OF STAIRS.
WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY. -
Running Springs, CA, United StatesFamilies Staying in Touch
Left on 07/03/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Our family was more than satisfied with our stay in Carlsbad. The location on the lagoon was perfect. The pool and hottub, the many bedrooms and bathrooms, the large kitchen, made our stay enjoyable and comfortable for our family reunion. We have all agreed we would like to go back again in 2013 to the same place.

Draper, UTah, United StatesGreat time in a roomy house!
Left on 06/16/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Overall the property is very nice! Secluded yet still close enough to be convenient for groceries and the beach. Mattresses were a little firm, but that is a matter of personal preference. Some minor details need to be attended to such as the tiles in the hot tub, etc. but still very nice overall. The house has lots of room and we would definitely stay there again.

Phoenix, AZ, United StatesWonderful week!
Left on 06/05/2012 for a stay in June 2012
This house was perfect and fit our family's needs. It was large and spacious, there were plenty linens, towels, supplies. The kitchen is huge and the back yard was amazing. We loved the views, and used the pool, spa and firepit nightly. It was chilly, so having the option to have the pool heated was amazing. The kids were entertained constantly. Thank you so much!

Falher, Alberta, CanadaGreat family getaway from the Canadian winter.
Left on 03/09/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We just came back from our holiday in this big beautiful house & want to thank the owners for allowing us to rent it. We are a family of 3 couples with 2 children, ages 10 months & 4 years old & everyone had a great time. Having each our own bedroom, TV & bathroom gave us the benefit of a hotel yet the house gave us the intimacy of a home. My 4 yr old grand daughter wanted to live there forever & ever.
Before I rented it, I read a review that said it was run down which made me nervous about renting it, so I thought it was important that I do this review. We didn’t find the house to be run down at all, however I suspect that they may have felt that way because it is not a new house. The doors, cabinets & kitchen tiles are most likely the original ones so they are a little worn but they still serve their purpose. The carpets in the bedrooms are older but they are clean which is what matters to me the most. In fact we found everything to be very clean, even the countless windows were spotless. The only suggestion I would have is to have a new toaster & possibly a digital clock radio in the bedrooms. The WiFi is strong throughout the house. I was a little disappointed to be cut off the evening before we left though, not sure if that is standard practice or if it was an error.
The beach is great but if you have trouble walking you may have trouble getting down there as there are quite a few steps & they are very steep. To sum it up, it was a great holiday & if I told the kids we were going back next year they would be jumping with joy. Don’t be afraid to rent this house, it is everything the pictures say it is & more.
I dealt mostly with Vanessa when I booked the house & she was very friendly & accommodating with questions & requests. Due to allergies we asked that the sheets & towels be washed in unscented laundry soap & they were very willing to do that for us, as well as clean with unscented products. We can’t tell you how much we appreci -

Great Carlsbad Vacation Home
Left on 01/15/2012 for a stay in January 2012
We had a fantastic trip. The property was better than we expected. Only down side to this property is the proximity to the freeway and the train. Train is going to be a problem anywhere in Carlsbad. Freeway was a bit loud when we concentrated on it (i.e. sitting in the hot tub at night), but otherwise the noise was ignored. Besides that, I highly recommend this house and we will be coming back.

LV, NV, United StatesCasual, comfortable on the lagoon
Left on 11/26/2011 for a stay in November 2011
Overall, this was a great stay and a very comfortable home. A few things would really help to make it perfect. Searched all closets and finally found a small handful of wire hangers. No bar soap in any showers. Knives in poor condition, need more bowls, there were only two, and there were no serving platters. A/C heating control was locked. First night we were all extremely hot even with sliders open, had to call the next day to have someone come over to unlock and adjust. Very disappointed that for the price we were paying we were unable to adjust our own temperature. Outdoor furniture on upper deck is very uncomfortable. Clothes left in a drawer in master bedroom. We are planning to return next year but would bring our own knives, serving ware etc so that we could serve meals properly. Minimal fixes would make this home 5 star.

Tere is a major ANT problem..We had ants in the master bedroom closet and we on our clothes..Also bedrooms on second floor. the major outbreak of ants was in the kitchen and in the kitchen closets. The black leather sofa needs some work done on its feet. They are NOT even attached, just stuck under it! ouse needs a little TLC, because it is a great place..just starting to get a little run down.
