We enjoyed our 2 winter months stay at Seabreeze vacation rentals. Although our unit was rather small (studio) we made the most of the beach and long walks along Carlsbad Blvd. and downtown. It was a great location to the beach, restaurants and downtown shops. Would we stay there again? You bet! See you again next winter.

We loved how central it was to everything. Being able to walk down to the beach without parking was a bonus. We had no complaints. We are hoping to be able to return and stay there next year.

Fantastic value for money if you want a reasonably priced family beach vacation on the beach in Carlsbad, Ca. Our unit was small (but big enough for 2 adults and 3 kids aged 9, 6 and 4.) and we had enough room and utilities to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner every night. The Ocean was 2 minutes walk down the ramp, the ocean in mid-July was warm enough to stay in for hours with no wet suit. Morning cloud was replaced by blue skies usually by noon!

Gilbert, ArizonaBed bugs in unit#7
Left on 07/10/2011 for a stay in July 2011
Stayed in Sea Breeze rental 07/02/11 - 07/10/11 in unit 7 on the first floor. One of my kids and me were bitten by bed bugs on the first night of stay. Management of this property (Barbara McLain Properties) called pest control. Next day I received call from Barbara McLain Properties and the guy tried to convince me that we were bitten by "sand bugs" on the beach not by bed bugs because bug traps were empty after 12 hours exposure. Be aware of this place, it is look like management is trying to save on everything including toilet paper, towels, blankets and trash bags, so bed bugs were not a big surprise for me. The most frustrating part is that management does not feel any responsibility for the problems and as a consequence I never heard any apologies from them.

It was a great price and great location. The condo seems like it needes some updating and I could never get hot water out of the kitchen sink. After maintenance came it still didn't produce hot water, I'd have to run and waste the water and eventually would just boil hot water in my tea kettle to fill up the sink. The kitchen cabinets were very stinky but maybe that's from being near the ocean and the type of wood. The carpet needs to be relaced but overall it was quiet and great to be across from the beach.
