You'll find our Bungalow is . . . Simple. Comfortable. Cozy (250 sq ft) and Quiet -- plus minutes from downtown and spectacular white sand beaches. Decorated with a local artist's work in addition to a few quirky collectibles, the bungalow overlooks the Pebble Beach Forest Reserve in a quiet residential neighborhood, but you...'ll find yourself very close to all the Peninsula has to offer.

We provide a modest Continental breakfast to get you started in the morning . . . coffee, tea, fruit, yogurt and biscotti! No kitchen is available, but there is a microwave, small refrigerator, kettle, coffee pot and toaster. You'll be located on the same property as our family home, totally separate and 50 steps from the main house. We're long-time residents, knowledgeable about the area and able to help you find some of the many unique spots guidebooks don't mention. A third person may be accommodated on a very thick futon ($25/visit). We are Pet Friendly and would love to entertain your beloved Fido as well. However, for those of you who have allergies, please keep in mind that Pets have been in the room previously.

If you're visiting California's central coast for the first time, you'll find Carmel and the surrounding area an idyllic haven boasting nearly 100 miles of spectacular shoreline - described as the 'greatest meeting of land and sea.' The unbridled beauty of Carmel and Monterey County's landscape and the mild, year-round weather offer endless opportunities for outdoor pursuits. Family-centered activities abound and there truly is something for everyone.

Additional Location Information

This is CLINT EASTWOOD'S town and guests will often bump into him around town. Ten minutes walking distance from downtown Carmel, the bungalow is situated near and overlooking the Pebble Beach Forest, so spotting Bambi in the woods is likely as well.

  The cabin is small and quaint, just enough room for my partner and me. It is clean and up to date with a little fridge/microwave/kettle kitchen, a nice heater, internet access and a good size tv with DVD capabilities. The property owners were kind and welcoming upon our arrival and were mostly out of sight after that. We definitely felt like we had our own space and even enjoyed the quietness of nature area from the little deck outside. The location is perfect, really close to downtown Carmel and a quick drive to Monterey. Definitely do the 17 mile drive if you stay here, it's gorgeous!

  This place is like a fairy tale. Shelley's home is a wonderland of succulents and beautiful little potted vignettes that inspire as you walk down to the cottage out back. The studio is packed with charm and comfort--a great balcony overlooking the forest, a comfy bed, sitting area and some yummy biscotti await you here. It's very well situated to see the tiny town of Carmel--all within walking distance to the beach, mission, shopping, restaurants. I would love to return--hopefully for a longer stay and a longer chat with Shelley, who was easy to talk to and a delightfully creative person. This place is well-worth the visit.
