Singing Pines exceeded our expectations. We fell in love with the charming house and beautiful surroundings. All was well maintained and we had great service from the friendly manager, who gave us lots of local tips and directions, as well as helping us with our fireplace heater. We loved that the kitchen ceiling was painted like a beautiful blue sky with fluffy white clouds and the view from the living room was a vacation in itself! Sitting outside on the patio in the big adirondak chairs, sipping a cup of tea in the morning, taking in the clean fresh air, listening to the birds, amidst gigantic trees and view of the ocean -- an absolute treasure! (The only thing we would change would be a new mattress and pillows -- firmer please.)

We stayed at Singing Pines for three nights with best friends visiting from Toronto and Dallas. We used both the main floor and upstairs guest suite as a jumping off point to enjoy the galleries in Carmel and hiking in Big Sur, but also thoroughly enjoyed relaxing, catching up, and taking in the amazing views from Singing Pines. The house was perfect for three couples and the kitchen was so well appointed that we enjoyed several home cooked meals in the lovely dining room. Lots of seating in the living room and extremely comfortable beds and linens meant that everyone was relaxed and well-rested. The sunsets from the front garden were absolutely stunning and waking up to the view of ocean, mountains, and beach was unforgettable! We hope to return someday soon!

We are so glad we rented this house rather than a hotel room for our week-long wedding/honeymoon trip to Carmel. The price was actually more affordable than some of the nicer hotels we looked at on the internet.
We ended up enjoying this place so much that we stayed an extra two more days.
We were mesmerized by the peak-through-the-tree-top views of the ocean. We had lots of sunshine and warm weather during our mid-September stay and the sunsets were so beautiful. Some fog appeared in Carmel on our last day but the home is situated so high in the trees that we were getting sunshine above the fog. That was an awesome sight to see.
The home was very cozy, clean, and well decorated. The pillowtop king size bed was sooo comfy, so we were well rested for each day's activities. The location of the home was so convenient for driving to the beach, restaurants, and shopping.
We can't wait to come again and stay at what we like to call "our million-dollar home away from home" in Carmel by the Sea.

We traveled to Singing Pines with our 2 sons: 14 & 9. Paula was a great hostess and made our stay very comfortable and worry-free. The home is spacious and great for families. We rented the extra bedroom and our older son loved the comfortable bed, and his own space and bathroom. We really enjoyed the beautiful, panoramic view of the water and trees - especially with the fog rolling in. Our younger son took advantage of the roomy armchair and blankets to enjoy his favorite movies in front of the fireplace. He even helped Paula water the plants! The master bedroom had a nice private deck. Paula's warm welcome with a bottle of wine and popcorn was a great surprise. We all felt right at home. A great plus was the fantastic proximity to everything: Monterey, downtown Carmel, Big Sur, Pacfic Grove, Santa Cruz, the Valley and fantastic restaurants and shops. We will definitely return soon!!

Paula was a very welcoming host and ensured everything was in order at check in. The suite had all the amenities and multiple areas to relax and enjoy the wonderful views. It was located only a short distance from downtown Carmel and Monterey which allowed for easy return to the suite during the day if desired. I highly recommend this rental unit.
