This is a 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom house with very nice views. You have a distant ocean view and a view towards a canyon and a big outside deck with several possibilities to relax . The house is well equipped (full kitchen). It is a less than 10 minute drive to Carmel-by-the-Sea and you are close to Big Sur with all its attractions. We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

The host is thoughtful and made arrangements very easy.
Cottage is quite spacious with plenty of places to lounge around.
Morning people will really enjoy the place, having breakfast with the quails and looking over the wooded canyon. Weather prevented us from enjoying the sunsets from the balconies - we look forward to that the next time. -

This was a fabulous home - clean, quiet, well equiped, lots of space, bright. Every evening we'd get home in time to have a glass of wine and watch the sunset. Very good beds. In a residential area, out of the touristy area which made us feel more secure. Yet we were within half an hour of Big Sur, Monterey peninsula, Carmel, 17 Mile Drive, Parks, and many other attractions.

Fabulous 2 bedroom home nestled into the Carmel Highlands. Spacious nicely appointed rooms with amazing views out every window. The owners were wonderful to work with. All in all a great experience; trying to find a reason to go back!

I stayed here with my parents, my husband and my newborn baby and had a wonderful time. The views from the cottage were simply stunning; hills to one side of the property and views out to the sea from the other and the location was perfect, just a few miles from amenities and easy access to the 17 mile drive and the coastal route. It couldn't have been better. I felt completely relaxed in the house as it was spacious and airy and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable including a well equipped and spacious kitchen. I will definitely be going back!

This is a very attractive 2BR/2Bath home with comfortable living areas. It is in a very nice suburban-style neighborhood with upscale homes. There is a distant view of the ocean, and beuatiful view of the canyon. The very nice owner met us at a public location and led us to the house (appreciated as it would have been hard to find at night--but once found, it was easy to come home to). I would definitely stay here again.

After viewing the photos on this rental property on line, we were quite excited about our stay in Carmel. However, the pictures don't even do this beautiful home justice. The inside was pristine...clean, well but lightly decorated, comfortable, cozy and spacious! The kitchen was well enough stocked to meet all of our needs. With a 12 month old in tow, we greatly enjoyed the convenience of 1-2 meals each day at home. The living room was comfortable with plenty of space for our little guy to play and read. The bedrooms were adorably decorated with plenty of space and comfy beds. Best of all was the view!!! We had an amazing wrap around porch (which we didn't get to use as much as we expected due to a cold snap, but it would be perfect in nicer weather or for those who can handle the cold!!) with beautiful views of the lush mountains on one side and the water on the other. Truly, this place is magnificent!!! We loved staying just outside of town. It was an easy trip in but we enjoyed being out of the hustle and bustle and up in the hills to be able to truly appreciate the view. Honestly, we felt this place was way underpriced!!! The proprietor, Linda, could not have been more available and responsive. She replied immediately to my calls and emails. We would recommend this property to anyone!

We had a wonderful time at this lovely large cottage where we stayed for only a couple of nights but could happily have been there for much longer. The kitchen was beautifully equipped and the furnishings and decorations were extremely luxurious and comfortable. The location makes it an ideal base for visiting Carmel, exploring Point Lobos, doing the 17 Mile Drive or just cruising Highway 1. The place was surrounded by decking and trees which made it a lovely relaxing place from which to watch the ocean, the neighbouring canyon and the many wild birds. Never before have I laid in bed and watched hummingbirds feeding. Highly recommended!

What a wonderful surprise, this "rustic cottage nestled on Hill" is certainly as described, and more. The hosts were friendly and informative, and on arriving showed us around the cottage that revealed a perfect home for a weekend of exploring this beautiful part of the world. The accommodation was faultless. A wonderful base to spend time together with friends and family, both inside the wonderful rooms, and outside on the deck. The views were spectacular. Cannot recommend this place enough, will certainly be returning.

My family of 4 (adults) stayed here for 3 nights to enjoy the Big Sur area. The cottage was extremely clean, well-stocked with supplies, and very comfortable. The location is great too -- close to Point Lobos State Park and other points of interest in Big Sur. The landlord was extremely kind and laidback, and gave us helpful tips on places to visit while we were here. We really can't think of a negative thing to say about this place; we'd recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I truly enjoyed this comfortable and cozy accommodation on our honeymoon visit to the beautiful surrounding areas of Carmel By the Sea and Pebble Beach. The back drop of the Pacific Ocean provided a great romantic atmosphere and will be a lasting memory as we start our lives together. Thanks for all your help making our stay as easy and comfortable as possible.
