It is home to one of the most diverse marine ecosystems in the world, including 33 species of marine mammals, 94 species of seabirds and 345 species of fish. Crashing waves as high as 20 feet, traveling from Alaska and Hawaii, provide a daily command performance. Relax by the fireplace in the great room as you watch migrating gray, humpback and blue whales.
Walk down a few stone steps to your very own priv...ate rock beach and cove. Sea otters greet you, often with baby otters in tow. The cove is a sanctuary for underwater kelp forest providing habitat and food for hundreds of fish. Keep an eye on sea otters as they wrap themselves in kelp to stay anchored in and around the cove. Enjoy our airborne visitors and residents including seagulls, blue herons, egrets, cormorants, albatross and, of course, pelicans. Feedings times are everyday, all day.
