For a party of two or a group of eight, this three story townhouse in the Carnelian Woods development at Carnelian Bay, North Shore Lake Tahoe provides a secluded hideaway with forest views and is within walking distance from the beach and restaurants and only minutes drive to the ski slopes.

As part of the Carnelian Woods development, you'll have free (seasonal) access to the tennis courts, hot tubs, swimming pool, clubhouse, 2-mile forest walk/par course, horseshoe pitch, and volleyball.

By Interstate 80, the fastest road to the Sierras, it's less than a 2 hour drive from Sacramento to Carnelian Bay, about four hours from the Ba...y Area.

This is a very nicely remodeled and refurnished unit with new stainless steel kitchen appliances.

A blend of Old Tahoe with a modern touch. The wood effect gas stove will keep you feeling warm while you watch the 52-inch widescreen (satellite) TV or listen to soothing music on the Bose stereo. And with free long distance telephone service, you can keep in touch with friends and family. Don't forget to bring your laptop to use our free broadband Internet.

The extra windows added to this unit keep the place bright and cheerful while providing a nice outlook over a secluded forest scene.

Room layout:

* First floor: living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom with queen bed and TV, bathroom, laundry, balcony with charcoal grill.

* Second floor: master bedroom with king bed and walk in closet, bathroom, loft/den with queen sofa-bed and TV.

* Third floor: loft with twin beds at top of spiral staircase.

With a five to ten minute walk from the condo you'll reach:

* The beach at Lake Tahoe.

* Post Office, Pizza/Grill, 7 Eleven grocery store.

* A great breakfast place - the Old Post Office.

* Miniature golf.

Add another couple of minutes minutes to reach:

* GarWoods - for some of the finest dining on Lake Tahoe.

  This review may come off overwhelmingly positive but I have to say right off, the owners and management/Stacey have every reason to feel good about what they offer, it's a great value!
  
  The photo's do this home no justice, it's not a complaint, the place is amazing, perfect in every way and full full full of little special extras that make it so extra comfortable, charming and homey.
  
  The kitchen, perfect, well stocked, great appliances, everything you need and more, all quality stuff, over looks the living area which has great views of the second floor open balcony sitting area with another TV sofa and sitting area as well as the master bedroom and private bath. The 3rd floor balcony with twin beds, a great bonus for kids. The best, I just had a few of the best nights sleep in years, I'm actually in from France in N Ca seeing a back specialist and I have slept very well.
  
  I'm a super picky guy, this place is awesome, amazing, perfect, comfortable and cozy, you will arrive and like us, you will say wow, smile, and immediately feel like you scored a great place. You could not ask for a better location, N Lake is the best for summer/winter.
  
  And for Stacey the property manager, she can work for my reservation department anytime, answers emails immediately, the owners and her have great, fast and efficient communication, the calendar is constantly updated, that's a huge plus, booking was effortless, she never bothered me but also stayed in touch with me, she did everything I would do in my business. From one rental owner to another, superb, you take really great care of your guests and deserve only the best reviews, if we ever come back, I hope we can come here, we won't even consider another rental unless this is taken.
  
  Negatives...only one, leaving. This trip was so awesome and this condo and location so perfect.

  Great for family get togethers

  For the last 4 years a group of family and friends have returned here for a skiing week. Enough space to happily accommodate all of us. Convenient for all the North Shore Ski runs and just a walk to local stores and restaurants (although good footware is obviously recommended if it's icy). The Condo is well equipped and we had no complaints.

  Family Friendly & Fun Condo

  We had a great time at this condo. It was really family friendly and easily accommodated four adults and five children.
  
  The kitchen had all of the equipment I needed to make our meals and we had plenty of room to move around. The condo has free wifi, many tv's, a fireplace, and it even has a small patio with a BBQ.
  
  I really like where it is located, it is close to the shore, not too far from the grocery store, and you can walk only a short distance to a great diner - The Post Office. There are some nice hiking trails surrounding the condo property. We loved it!!!
