We had a lovely stay at Sweetheart--the fireplace and woodstove were perfect for the weather, and the cottage was so clean and uniquely decorated. It felt a little like a beach-house in the mountains, which was really fun. We could tell that a lot of love and thought were put into making the cabin really welcoming, and it definitely felt like a home away from home. We'd love to make it up again sometime!

Montclair, NJSweetheart - a charming and nostalgic place to stay

Sweetheart was a charming spot for our laid-back vacation! We loved the spacious kitchen and the way it flowed into the living room. The large kitchen table was a perfect place for our family game nights after dinner.
We were never at a loss for something to do during our week - we used the rowboat, swam, biked - the quiet road the house is located on has some great hills!, walked, played horseshoes, and even did a little kayaking. And how could I forget about the hot tub - we enjoyed it several times during our stay.
While the weather was unseasonably chilly for the first few nights, the house had plenty of blankets and aimee checked in on us to be sure we were OK. As we've found before, she and Michael are great hosts.
Sweetheart is a great spot for a "get away from it all" vacation! -

After our wedding, my husband and I only had a short weekend to celebrate for our honeymoon. The Sweetheart Lakehouse has everything you need for a quiet and serene getaway. We loved being able to walk right to the water or take a quick drive to go hiking. The cottage itself is cozy and comfortable with a great cooking kitchen and outdoor grill. The hot tub is great for watching the sunrise and drinking your coffee first thing in the morning! We would definitely recommend this cottage to others as we've already discussed going back!

My stay in Sweetheart was truly fantastic. It is the most adorable cabin. It was charming inside and out. It is niceky located close to several serene lakes, hiking trails, and a convenience store. Most of all, Aimee was a very caring host. On one evening it was unusually cold and she and her husband came by to build a fire. I will definitely try to stay in Sweetheart again!!
