This 2 bedroomed villa is completely private, walled and fenced, with entry through electronic gates. It is set in beautiful countryside, with 360 panoramic views, yet is only 10 minutes walk from the historic spa village of Carratraca where the famous Roman spa baths have just been renovated

We are on the edge of the Andalucian lake district- fantastic turquoise lakes with great restaurants and canoes and pedalos for hire in summer.
Great walking area- we have an experinced guide who offers guests informative half day walks for 40€ .
if you are a climber- we are only 20mins from El Chorro gorge.
To explore Andalucia, this is a perfect location- Costa del Sol and Gibraltar, Granada, Cordoba, Seville and Ronda are all easy day trips.
We would definately recommend hiring a car, and we can offer 15% discount with a reputable car hire firm at Malaga airport. You have private parking inside the villa grounds.
However, if you prefer not to hire a car we can arrange airport transfers and take you via a good supermarket on route to the airport and there is a good bus service to Malaga and Ronda.
We will also take you on a day trip to see the local lakes and surrounding countryside.

The villa is in a beautiful position on the edge of a typical Spanish village with fabulous views. There is everything you would need for a comfortable stay. There are a couple of good restaurants in the village which are very reasonable. A short drive takes you to the lakes which I recommend for a day out, they are unbelievably warm to swim in. All in all a good place to stay.

We rented this lovely villa with a small pool over Easter 2012. Even though the weather wasn't as good as we'd expected we had a great stay - and we got out into the nearby mountains for great walks. We saw lots of wildlife and birds, and the rain had brought out many orchids. This villa is well eqipped, clean and spacious. Our children loved the pool. With stunning views from all sides it makes a great holiday base, although you'd definately need a car.

We stayed for a week in this lovely villa. The villa itself is perfect; private pool and quiet location but it is easy to get to the coast either by public transport or hire car. The "lakes" are nearby and the views here are breathtaking.

We arrived to a friendly greeting and everything was exactly as advertised, this villa is fairly private and a hire car is essential. there is a remotely operated gate to allow access to the Villa. The villa is definately not 5 star accomodation, the furniture is basic but is certainly comfortable and with other features such as a washing machine, Dishwasher, large Fridge Freezer, Satalite TV (Astra Freeview) and a DVD player even the worst weather can be catered for.
The Village of Carratraca is a 10 minute walk up a very steep mountain road which is definately not for the unfit or disabled. (we used the car) the village does have a reputedly excellent restaurant although we never tried it, we had barbeque most evenings by the pool and just chilled out. the village also has a few shops in the form of mini Supermarkets which is OK for the basics, but you will have to travel further afield to stock up.
With the Villa being part of the National Park the scenery is fantastic with amazing sunsets and Sunrises, the Lakes are a short distance away or the coast Torremolinos, Marbella, Peurto Banus are only 40 minutes drive.
We had a wonderful holiday and would not hesitate to recommend this location for a romantic getaway, Hillwalking Holidays or a young family to just chill out by the pool. -

A really nice villa in the most spectacular location with near 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains. The beautiful, traditional andalucian town of Carratraca is only a short (albeit uphill) walk, with a few nice tapas bars and shops. We took our 8 month old son and Eryl kindly provided a travel cot, high chair and even a buggy - we couldn't have asked for a more accommodating and attentive host. The villa is more than adequate for a family of four, with good sized bedrooms, a large living area and two bathrooms. A short drive from the lakes and the impressive el Chorro gorge, the villa is in a great location for exploring andalucia, with boht Malaga and Ronda in easy driving distance. Recommended.

I stayed i Carratracca with my students for 1 week. We came from Norway and had a lovely stay in this house. It was cheap and luxurious. Carratraca is a beautiful village with friendly people and a wonderful, newley renovated Spa. It is also a good place to stay if you are a climber (El Chorro is 20 min drive from Carratraca) or want to check out the mountains in the Malaga area.
