WorcesterDelightful 60 days in Cartagena and environs
Left on 03/20/2013 for a stay in January 2013
This studio was a perfect home for us with delightful views, breezes and access to all the charms that Cartagena has to offer.
We enjoyed making our breakfasts, dining on the balcony, watching the many different birds and fishermen/boats.
Following a work-out in the on-site gym or a long walk, we enjoyed a swim in the infinity pool that was even more attractive than the pictures! In spite of too much good food and ice cream, we came home lighter! Although it was hot every day, the tradewinds up at the 12th floor kept us comfortable and we only used a/C to sleep.
Geoff the owner and Freddie the hotel manager were extremely helpful and immediately attended to our every request and need, which were few. Using the studio as home base also allowed us to visit other parts of Colombia; Santa Marta, Salento, Villa De Leyva and Raquira, which gave us more fond experiences and memories. Afterwards, it was so good to come "home" to our studio in Manga which was kept immaculate by Yolanda.
We found the Colombians to be friendly and helpful and made some new "best friends". This was a winter break by old New Englanders that will never be forgotten!! -

Toronto, CanadaAmazing Condo with a View!
Left on 12/19/2012 for a stay in December 2012
The moment we stepped into the unit, we couldn't believe how beautiful, clean & modern it was - as lovely as they are, the photos don't do it justice! Most importantly, I don't think the views of the old city and the Caribbean from the balcony could be beat. And of course, there is the rooftop pool - we loved it and made sure to go for a dip at least once a day.
Having a fully furnished 'home', while on vacation was a very nice treat, especially because everything one might need, is provided (from beach towels to laundry detergent for the washing machine).
Although its not in the 'hub' of Getsemani & the old city, I'm happy I stayed here, otherwise I likely would have missed out on exploring this little neighbourhood. Plus, the walk over the bridge was so quick, that it didn't feel like we weren't a part of it most days anyways.
This was likely one of my favorite places I stayed at throughout my travels - if you're looking for the best in Cartagena, I highly recommend this studio!

This was a terrific place to stay. In Manga. Just over the Roman bridge was the walled city (10 min walk). We had a view that was just the best. 12th floor overlooking the bay, carribean, and the walled city!!! A studio apt.
13th floor is the pool with a panoramic view of the entire city!!! This is affiliated with a local hotel called Casa La Fe. Great little boutique hotel.
Geoff and Gloria were just great!! Breakfast included and Gloria will help you with any dinner reservation or booking a tour.
Cartagena is a magical place. I would highly recommend a trip there. Make sure you stay in this lovely studio apt. You can't go wrong. It is just fabulous!!

SeattleA slice of contemporary beauty amidst a historic city
Left on 09/20/2012 for a stay in September 2012
This amazing studio was clean, cozy, and very stylish with the most breathtaking view of the Walled City, ocean and marina. Equipped with all the modern commodities from a grill on the balcony to a well stocked kitchen, the facilities were also equally modern and spotless. Geoffrey, the owner, was incredibly hospitable and personable, with a strong command of the city and its culture. This studio was more than just a lodging experience, it was the best welcome for our first visit to Cartagena. Did I mention the unbeatable price??

We are very happy with our accomodations in Cartagena. The apartment was very clean, modern and well equiped. We made our meals there and had everything we needed, including a gas barbeque. The price was very reasonable, especially given the view and the location. We highly recommend staying here.

We stayed in cartagena for 8 days at a beautiful studio condo apt just ouside the walled city. Owned by Casa La Fe and 4 days in Santa Marta. The front desk namely Freddy went above and beyond our expectations, he was warm, welcoming and extremely helpful in every way. I can't say enough about the personal experience we received. Thank you so much and we loved every moment we spent in colombia. Karon and Gino.

Left on 03/05/2012 for a stay in February 2012
We spent four nights at this property and thoroughly enjoyed our entire stay. You must be OK with a 3-5 minute walk from the outer city wall (Getsemani) and another 10 minutes to the inner city wall (Centro and San Diego), but it was no problem for us (a couple in our 20s). We were offered the same great service at Casa La Fe as any of their guests with ample, delicious breakfast, concierge services, etc, with the added benefit of having the privacy and independence of an apartment. The rooftop pool and deck were divine and allowed us a great space to relax with a beer to watch the sunset in the evenings. Wouldn't have had it any other way!

We have rented apartments in various locations over the years, this without
a doubt has to be one of the best. This apartment was exactly as advertised,
comfortable and attractively furnished including a washing machine and well
maintained. One of the main reasons we chose this rental was because it was
owned and operated by Casa Lafe, which meant that any questions or concerns were promptly dealt with. The large deck made an ideal place for
most of our meals. The location was ideal as it is only a 10 minute walk to the
Old City. Supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Highly reccomended. -

The condo was beautiful, the pictures don't lie. We stayed for six nights and enjoyed the location along with the beautiful pool. The owner was helpful and made sure we had what we needed. It is in a great location to offer access to both Bocagrande and the walled city. Just a heads up don't let his dog in the condo although friendly always left a treat behind if you know what i mean...!!! There was disco music every night in the walled city and carried across the water so you heard it in the condo although it usually ended by 11pm. It was also very nice to have the option of laying around the condo pool or going in and walking around the walled city and lazing around the pool at Casa Le Fe. It has 24/7 security and we felt very safe there at all times, we would stay there again and recommend to friends and family. I am a difficult person to please and i was very happy with our choice of this condo.

Norwich, UKGreat apartment, perfect location, fantastic panorama!
Left on 04/16/2011 for a stay in February 2011
We stayed in this elegant studio apartment twice - taking a break in Santa Marta for a couple of days. When we got back from there it was just like coming home - so good to be where we were at ease.
I've read the previous report (Ed from Connecticut) and agree absolutely with his summary including the advice to sample Manga as well as Centro ond Getsemani (but you must do 'em all!).
This apartment is the perfect place in which to base yourself for all that . . including the fact that you can cool off in the infinity pool a floor above, where the views across Cartagena are pretty mindblowing too.
We cannot speak too highly of the Casa la Fe Hotel team that looked after us. Nothing was too much trouble and they are about the friendliest people we've come across when travelling.
The only thing missing for us was a full length mirror in the apartment (for my wife, you understand!). We spoke to Geoff Chew about it as we left - and I bet it's already been installed!

Left on 10/22/2010 for a stay in October 2010
This studio turned out perfectly for the three of us with very comfortable and attractive accommodation and a convenient location. We dismissed the idea of staying in Bocagrande as it is all high rise, crowded and a long walk from the old city. This apartment was just the right distance, allowing us to retreat from town around mid-day when it got too hot, laze around the pool and step out again in the late afternoon. As commented by others the views are panoramic. The hotel also called us on a couple of occasions to check our needs; we were fine but it was a nice touch. One piece of advice for renters- explore and use the local restaurants in Manga rather than always eating in the city and save a bunch of money!

CaliforniaPerfect location and comfortable stylish place to call home
Left on 09/19/2010 for a stay in September 2010
The 12th story balcony & the rooftop provide incredibly breathtaking sunset views. The place is white so maybe not good for kiddos but it is decorated with a modern and stylish flair & is very comfortable with many available seating options & good internal lighting. The building has a doorman/security man on-staff all hours of the day & is very secure with private garage. You have a nice kitchen w/ pots, pans, utensils etc. There is a washer & wonderfully the detergent is provided as well; if you put the clothes out to dry overnight on the balcony they are mostly dry by mid-day the next day. The place is stocked with lots of extra towels, sheets. The bed is very comfortable as are the linens; even the sofa bed is comfortable. Hot water wasn't reliably available but that's due to work being done on the building & shouldn't be an on-going problem. The location of the studio is perfect- just steps from the old city (centro) & not far from the other areas in town via cab. Cab fare to many nearby places including Caribe Plaza (the mall) shouldn't be more than $5000 (2-3 dollars). There are supermarkets close-by, good restaurants (try arabe Express), hair salons, gas stations etc) Just a heads up-the music from one of the local clubs/restaurants plays loudly every single night starting around 8 or 9 pm & going on until much later. You can't avoid it sitting on the balcony & the beat is heard very clearly inside but isn't as noticed if the central air is on and/or music and t.v. It may be helpful to have some pen/paper stocked in the studio & maybe a hair dryer (but as soon as one was requested it was delivered :) Overall-loved this place!

Owner
We are surprised that this guest reports on noise intrusion, the nearest club/ bar is on Calle Arsenal which is about 400 metres distant. The apartment building is almost wholly residential and there have not been any other complaints lodged with the Administration to date. However we have taken note.
