Rural Andalusia at its best! Lying just a few miles inland from the jostling crowds of Malaga and the Costa del Sol is the beautiful Guadalhorce Valley, edged by dramatic mountains. 400 metres high, in a triangle between Cártama, Pizarra and Álora, is Finca Cencerrita where La Casita Maria is situated. The Finca (farm) covers nearly 8 acres of gently sloping mountain-side interspersed with almond and olive trees, not to mention an abundance of wild flowers throughout most of the year. With the incredible views from here, sunsets are an important part of the day - sometimes simply pretty, many times very dramatic - always worth watching! Our cancellation policy is in the Terms and Conditions.

Additional notes from owner
If you leave the house clean and tidy as you found it, there is no charge. If you would prefer us to take care of it, an early flight perhaps, we are happy to do it for a cost of 25 euros.
Extra nights are 1/6th of weekly cost.
Payment can either be made via PayPal (no account needed, using your credit card if you like), or by bank transfer. Full details given on request.
When we receive the deposit, we will send a confirmation form and route directions to the meeting point near Pizarra.
A refundable damage deposit of €100 or £100 is payable on arrival.
Air onditioning allowed for is 14 hours a day. 1 euros extra for each 5 hours - this is to be "green" and try make people think before leaving on 24 hours day which you will find is not needed!
Christmas and Easter holidays minimum 1 week rental - we do not have higher prices at this period!

This was our third visit to Cencerrita, but our first stay in Casita Maria. The cosy tranquillity was an absolute delight. The cabin is ideal: comfortable, well equipped and easy to manage. One stop at the excellent supermarket in Cartama to stock up and then no need to make contact with the outside world for the rest of the holiday. Bliss!! Spring is our favourite time of year here, cool enough in the morning for long walks and picnic lunches but warm enough, later in the day, for lazing in the sun and cooling off in the plunge pool.
The magic moments were many and varied: drinking the first coffee of the day whilst sitting in bed with the door open and soaking up the glorious view down the valley, lying in the hammock in the shade of the trees being serenaded with bird song, spectacular sunsets and night skies, eating delicious food freshly cooked on the barbeque, breakfast on the patio, the sight and sound of the goats with their distinctive bells.
We will be back.

My husband and I returned once again to stay at Casita Maria. We had a thoroughly relaxing time...again! Colleen and alan were friendly and helpful, and provided a clean and well equipped cabin, everything we required for a simple de-stressing holiday. We love the views and could sit quite happily with our glass of wine and watch it for hours! We enjoyed exploring the local area for walks in the early mornings, and photographed a few spectacular sunsets too.

A wonderful place where we could forget time. We never tired of the views, the birds and the animals. Very peaceful, a place where you can really recharge your batteries, with your privacy being a priority with the owners. We have stayed at the property twice, with another visit booked for this year.

Me and my partner stayed 2 weeks in beautiful Casita Maria... We had a great time! We found just what we needed; quietness, the warm Spanish sun, the beautiful view, the fantastic location and the small but very charming house! The setting is fantastic and the sunsets unforgettable. A perfect gateway for escaping our own busy lives and crazy hectic world. We have had the holiday we were hoping for. Thanks to the owners/hosts of Casita Maria, for taking care and for their great hospitality!

I went with my boyfriend for a week and stayed at Casita Maria - it was a wonderful experience!We spent our days drinking sangria, cooking up barbeques and relaxing in the sun - perfect! An ideal peaceful holiday :)
