The service received was excellent - booked on Thursday arrived on Sunday.
The cottage was very comfortable and immaculately clean. Problem with oven and freezer but both replaced same day.
Very rural location, with three excellent pubs within 5 miles.
Enjoyed the peace and quiet

Aside from the weather we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The welcoming pack was appreciated and the accommodation was excellent. The location was superb and we really enjoyed our walks as did the dogs. At this time of year the wood burner was a necessity and one we all enjoyed. The local hostelries were of good quality and good value. I would recommend the Hare and Hounds. It is our intention to revisit.

House that is a delight to stay in.The peace and ambience was outstanding and cars passing were three a day on average. The position was stunning with loads of walks in the woodlands. I must mention the Church which was C1405 original build was spectacular which is an antique dream. There was an ambience of nostalgia in the house and with the modest furniture and decor was just right and quite magical. For the more traditional people the house and grounds second to none. I recommend highly.
Like a stately home!

The cottage is lovely, warm, cosey, homely with more than adequate facilities and equipment. Log fires and "farmhouse" kitchen just add to the experience. If I was going to be "picky" it could do with a new cooker/oven.(Oven too small, door closes on you, grill pan doesnt fit) TV in lounge, also too small. Shower in main bathroom, has a mind of its own! Everywhere was clean and bright and airy. You would need a car, nearest place is 3 miles away! Thre pubs close by, all excellent places to go.
A tranquil escape on the southern lakes

A beautiful period house, in a quiet, secluded location. We found it an ideal base, whether we went out in car for the day or went out walking in the beautiful surrounding hillside. Everything was close to hand a general store and two pubs five minutes drive away. The house was warm and comfy with everything you needed and more, the pint of milk waiting in fridge on arrival, and little shower gels in bathroom. We went as a family of four with children under age of 12 and it was perfect.

Pretty charming house, a lot of room, traditional nice appearance, but far away from the next village, let alone town.
