We have stayed here twice. The accommodation is everything that you would expect. It is homely and comfortable. The beds are extremely sleep inducing. The first time we stayed here, we drove everywhere. This time we walked everywhere. Definitely walk. We could not fault the property and the location is perfect. To summarise excellent.

Chose it because it allowed 2 dogs and I wanted to go out walking around the lakes. Lovely and quiet, in rush hour maybe 2 cars an hour!!Short walks within 50 yds of the cottage for the dogs. Ok you may have to drive to the nearest pub, but take your own booze and relax!! Solitude...and really not too far from Bowness in the car - 15 mins, Newby Bridge - 10 mins. It depends what you are looking for. The property was fine, had everything you needed - take your own salt and sugar!! En-suite power shower a little cramped, but just relax in that bath. I would go again. No private enclosed garden for the dogs so need to be well behaved or knackered from the days walk!!
restful, quiet, beautiful surroundings full of character.

We had a fantastic stay at Danes court. A beautiful house full of charater. A part of the lakes we had over looked before so for us it was a great base to explore. Walking from the doorstep which was an added bonus. High up you have spectular views of both Morecombe bay on one side and fells on the other a fabulous almost 360 degree view of the surrounding landscape.
They also Catered very well for our dog even down to dog bowls. Very clean and tidy, it was great that logs and coal were provided, the last thing you want to think about on your holidays is finding fuel. Lots of cosy nights in by the fire after long walks during the day. It was great that dish washers tablets and wahing up liquid were also provided as its a thing that people often forget. I felt that danes court was great value for money in excellent surroundings. Peaceful and delightful place to stay.
Some great local pubs to. The 'Inn' has fantastic views.

The house is off the beaten track, which makes it a little difficult to find 1st time. The good side of this is that you will hardly see any traffic on the road, which makes it a very peaceful and tranquil spot. The house is very nice, warm, comfortable and well furnished. Nice touches are complimentary tea, Coffee, toiletries. The wardens live in the adjacent cottage and are very nice and friendly.
