Casa Limao is a very large property in a fantastic location in the center of Carvoeiro.
Each apartment has its own entrance, a terrace with bbq and outdoor furniture as well as the very spacious general gardens, terraces and pool areas.
There are two pools connected by a waterfall. The pools are salt water so very gentle on the eyes and skin. There are only three apartments so it is never over crowded by the pool or in the large landscaped gardens, which have olive, almond, plumb, fig, carob and lemon trees.

We arrived an hour late, early evening, and were met at the gate by Karen Sharp with whom the booking was made. Karen had kept us updated with all the necessary information. We were shown to a delightful one bedroom apartment which had more than enough equipment. We had our own patio and use of the pool and sun terrace above. The welcome pack was more than sufficient. During our stay Karen, who lives on the complex, was always available and able to provide advice about the area.
The town is only a short walk away where there are a number of great restaurants.
We have visited Carvairo several times and this was one of the more memorable. -

Casa Limao is every bit as delightful as the photos used to advertise the property suggest. We rented a single bedroom apartment with a large living room and a well equipped kitchen area, not forgetting a quality flat screen tv with UK channels. With a private terrace catching the morning sun and a few steps up to the shared sun terrace and pool, we felt nothing had been skimped or omitted from this uniquelay attractive setting, overlooking the deep valley that divides Carvoeiro town. The apartment is an extension to the owner's property which has good security. Karen Sharp, as manager, seems to think of most things that would be helpful, providing a guide to the motorway junctions and route from Faro airport by e-mail, and a generous welcome pack on our arrival. The walk into town involves a short, steep hill, but takes only 10-15 mins on foot.

My wife and I (both retired) stayed at Casa Limeo for 1 week, Feb28 to Mar6 2012. The location was very convenient, a short walk into Carvoeiro centre, which included a short, but steep, hill approaching the apartments.
The apartment we had was lovely, with every conceivable facility available, and a welcome grocery pack on our arrival was much appreciated. We had a nice seating area outside to enjoy the sunshine, in relative privacy, which we liked.
Dave & Karen, the owners, were very helpful in all respects, giving the kind of service which is often not evident in larger holiday complexes.
The small pool and surrounds, at a level above the apartment, were beautiful for relaxing in the sunshine, though a bit cold for swimming in February. There is a good view of much of Carvoeiro from here.
To be helpful to others, it should be noted that the one-bedroom apartments are at ground level and the 2-bedroom apartment is on first floor level, as is the pool area
We had a hire car for the week and access to the main road from Casa Limeo to the rest of the algarve was easy.
In summary, we had a lovely holiday in lovely accommodation, in lovely surroundings, thanks to Dave & Karen.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Limao. It was fully equipped with everything one would need or want, was clean & attractive, & the owners were most welcoming, friendly & helpful.
The location was great as you could walk into the town for restaurants, entertainment, beach & shopping. It was also near the highway so that you could travel to other towns & historical sights on the algarve.
We felt that Carvoeiro was the most charming & prettiest place we visited! -

We booked this on the reviews from Trip advisor, and was not disappointed. Karen, Dave,Claire and Ben were the perfect hosts. Our apartment was perfect and very clean everything we could want for, was available in the apartment. Karen and Dave were very hospitable and made us very welcome. The pool and facilities were first class, our kids 8 and 11 enjoyed every minute of it.
The owners own a very well known bar in town just 10 to 15 mins walk called the Jailhouse , it was Fab and we had a few great evenings in there. We will return very soon and thoroughly recommend it. -

We rented all three apartments for our family holiday (8 adults and 3 children) which was better than one large villa as we all had our own space and bathrooms with the added privacy of having the place to our selves. My husband and I stayed with Dave and Karen last year and knew immediately this was the place for our family holiday in 2011. Every one loved Casa Limao and have all planed to return. Dave and Karen gave us all such a welcome. They are excellent hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The welcome pack that they provide is fantastic as well as all the extras to make this a home from home and our family just could not get over their hospitality and genoristy.

We have just returned to Inverness after a wonderful holiday at casa limao-we booked 2 apartments as there were 5 of us and we weren't disappointed.Karen and Dave made us feel very much at home and our foster lad had his Birthday there which im sure he will never forget especially the cake!!! The pool was fantastic and was surrounded by some beautiful plants. The supermarket which is a short ride away was very good and I did a whole shop for the week for under £120-the bakers which everyone talks about is a short walk away and their rolls and cakes are something else. We are all looking forward to going again next year. Many thanks for such a lovely time Karen and Dave you both made the holiday

We stayed in Karen & Dave's 2 bedroom apartment for a month. They are excellent hosts - friendly, knowledgable about the algarve, and really wanting their guests to be at home and comfortable while staying with them.
Even though we stayed in the coolest part of the year, we loved the accommodations. The 2 bedroom had lots of space, and was very well equipped, from the well appointed kitchen to libraries of books, to good dvd selection. We can understand that this spot would be excellent in the hottest time of year - lots of ventilation, shade, and a great patio/pool area. We would suggest that people coming in the cool season bring appropriate clothes to be able to bundle up & stay warm when it gets cool (in evenings).
The location was excellent as well - only a 5 to 10 minute walk to shops & restaurants in town. There is a steep hill to walk, but we didn't experience any difficulty with this.
We can't say enough about how well Karen & Dave treated us. They told us of their favourite places to go in the region, & we were never disappointed when we went to these places. They also had really thorough knowledge of places to eat/drink at all price levels, and gave us great tips on finding the best value and quality chicken piri-piri and bifana restaurants. Karen shared jars of her marmelade and olives and other food with us. We feel we have made new friends in Portugal!
The only regret that we have from this trip is that some of Carvoeiro's highlights, like the Jailhouse Bar, were closed for holidays when we were there. We believe we would have enjoyed Bobby Stardust's music and showmanship even more than we enjoyed Dave's jokes & tales. On the other hand, since it was off-season, there weren't large crowds to negiotiate when we went out.

My husband and I stayed at Casa Limao in September. We absolutely loved our stay there! The apartment was perfect, and very well equipped. There was lots of hot water for showers, and even a well stocked book and DVD library. We had our own little patio and sitting area, and it was a short flight of stairs up to the pool area. The pool was fantastic, clean and refreshing. It is a short walk to the charming little town of Carvoeiro, where there are many very reasonably priced restaurants, and we found all to be excellent. There are also a couple of pastry shops in town that serve Portuguese delights. Be sure to check out the Jailhouse, (pub). It was great! Rick and I highly recommend the Casa Limao, and should we ever return to the algarve, would definitely stay there again!!

We travelled with our 2 teenage daughters knowing it was the end of the season. Never the less we really enjoyed Carveiro and especially the Villa Limao.
We had the 2 bedroom apartment which was really spacious with a wonderful luxurious bathroom. Every cooking facility you could want was provided and the welcome pack which Karen put together was lovely. Her home made coleslaw was fabulous.
There is a bakery at the end of the track which we visited every morning for breakfast, very handy. The track leading up would only be difficult if you have mobility problems. My family had no problem with it at all, so don't let that put you off.
I couldn't believe the lack of reviews on here, this is a stunning place and we will visit again in a heartbeat.
Karen and Mark have huge amounts of return guests which gives you an idea of the popularity of this place. Hugely helpful and obliging especially to our late leaving flight.

As described, Casa Limao is a beautiful Villa with a fantastic swimming pool. Karen and Dave are the best hosts that you could possible hope for. Very welcoming and more than happy to help out with anything that you may need. My wife and I stayed for 10 days with our two young children in the 1 bed apartment. Karen arranged a camp bed for our 2 year old and supplied a cot for our 5 month old. We had plenty of room and the apartment was always nice and cool. The village of Carvoeiro is beautiful. Loads of bars and restaurants just a short walk away, as is the beach. Great location with the only downside for us being that it was at the top of a steep hill. Saying that, we did have two buggies to push which made it a bit more of an effort. We didn't bother with a hire car and Karen arranged airport transfers. We used the local taxi rank to get to and from the huge supermarket that is just 5 mins away. I would expect that we will definitely be visiting Karen and Dave again in the not too distant future. I certainly hope so anyway.

If you are thinking of a relaxing holiday in a beautiful location look no further,the only hardship was having to leave. -

We've stayed at Casa Limao twice and would never stay anywhere else in Carvoeiro! The setting is wonderful, so relaxing, so welcoming and ideally situated for exploring the Algarve. Karen is exceptional - her welcome pack is so thoughtful and useful after a tiring journey, nothing is too much trouble and you are made to feel at home instantly. For us, it is the perfect holiday!

We have been regular visitors to Carvoeiro for the last 8 years (once or twice a year) and always stay at Casa Limao in one of the three beautiful apartments - we wouldn't stay anywhere else! These apartments are always spotless and comfortable and if you have any special requirements these can be accommodated. You are always assured a warm welcome from the owners who will do everything possible to ensure your stay with them is enjoyable. The apartments all have access to the excellent pool area with sunbeds, shaded seating area, etc., with their own patio and BBQ. Casa Limao is a very friendly place to stay and is a short walk to the village centre with all the amenities you could want for a fantastic holiday. We can't wait for our next trip in June 2010.

I love going to stay at these apartments, so relaxing, the garden areas and pool are is so lovely, very well kept, Clean and spacious. Karen and Dave make everyone very welcome. We love nothing more than a day lounging by the pool then an early evening BBQ on the patio and then a stroll to the village for a drink and a coffee at one of the sea view bars.
The apartments are very close to the village a 5 minute walk where you can dine and drink in the lovely village location with all manner of cuisine available with Local shops and mini markets.
I would highly recommend this location. -

And no, the review title is not wrong! Accommodation is great. Environment is wonderful and whether its your first or your twentieth stay or you're a family friend, you're treated the same by the wonderful hosts, Karen and Dave. A saline pool, loungers and a shaded area with a hammock - just kick back and relax. You'll probably find your neighbours in the other apartments (there are three) do the same and in all my time staying at Casa Limoa the 'neighbours' have always been easy to get on with. If you feel the need to move its a short walk to the town centre, bars (including Dave and Karen's Jailhouse bar), shops and the beach. If you've rented a car there's proper, secure parking spaces and its a great base for travelling out from.
Am I biased? No. I've been lucky enough to travel all over the world but I always make time for an annual break at Casa Limao - you should do the same. -

November 2009 was the last time we stayed at Casa Limao although we have been staying there as many as three times a year since November 2002. Whether its Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter, the welcome is always warm at Casa Limao. The facilities are all excellent and well appointed. The pool and terrace area are simply bliss when the sun is shining. Casa Limao is secretly tucked away behind Electric gates which provide much appreciated seclusion and of course security. The property overlooks the natural cleft in the landscape in which Carvoeiro sits, giving fine views from the pool terrace. The location, being only five or six minutes walk from the heart of Carvoeiro makes all the restaurants and bars easily accessible, (make sure you check out the Jail house Bar, next to the post office, best bar in town and great live music every night), there is plenty of parking within the property so if you are hiring a car there is no problem with parking. The welcome you get on arrival from Karen and Dave is wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. It really is important to them that you have a great holiday at Casa Limao. We've been many times and would recommend Casa Limao to anyone. In fact, we have recommended it to several friends who have all had a great time there. If you want a great self catering holiday on the Algarve, you can't beat Casa Limao in Carvoeiro.

Without a doubt Casa Limao is a superb place to
spend a holiday. It is secure, in a beautiful
setting within walking distance of all the main
amenities of the village and is very well
maintained. Karen & Dave are super hosts, the
apartments are very clean, have all the "bits" you
want (Linen, Crockery, Bar-b-que etc) and the
grounds are well maintained and provide a very
relaxing setting. The village is a must for those
wanting to enjoy a variety of night life from
simply having a "wander" with a couple of beers or
dining out in a wide range of very good restaurants. The only "down side" is the climb back
up the hill to Casa Limao after a "good night out"
- but we cheat and leave the car at the bottom of
the hill!!
