Additional Location Information

The "Wow House" is in the Pine Forest subdivision in Cashiers / Sapphire North Carolina. Pine Forest is an exclusive division with only 12 lots, and 10 homes. Wow is at the very top of the mountain, accessible on a paved, asphalt road (not a dirt road!). The elevation is about 3500 +/- and the view of Cow Rock and overlooking one of the few box canyons in the south, is overwhelming. The home is about 10 minutes max to downtown Cashiers, golf, shopping and fine restaurants, and about 30 minutes to Highlands, NC.

  My husband and I spent the Thanksgiving week end at the "wow" house with our best friends and enjoyed every moment of it. The location is great and very convenient to both Cashiers and Highlands. We explored the surrounding waterfalls, the unique shops in both towns and sampled the many excellent restaurants. I'm sure we will go back to the Cashier/Highlands area again and again. We found this rental property just as advertised - modern yet cozy. The listing pictures were excellent and up to date. We found everything in the house clean and ready for use. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could want should we have chosen to cook. Because the house is practically built into the rock, there is very little yard but the view is just as spectacular as advertised. Wow!
  On the down side, because of the extremely steep driveway and the stairs both inside and outside, this is not a house for guests with disabilities or the even the very elderly. There are no electrical plugs in the upstairs Jack & Jill bathroom and this was bothersome. Even though we loved the view, a larger TV in the sun room would have been greatly appreciated by our husbands who are avid football fans.
  All in all, I would recommend this house as a great place to "chill" whether enjoying the impressive view from the sunroom window or reading in front of the fireplace in the living room. We had a wonderful time. Wow what a great house!
