Casa Staffa is a gracious cottage of 40 square meters (about 430 square feet) for four people, with garden and access to a pool of 7 X 14 meters (23 X 46 feet).
It is situated within a 13-hectare (32-acre) farming estate, with woods and lake, in which there live many animals, both domestic and wild.
It is 25 km (approximately 15 miles) from Siena and 80 km (50 miles) from Florence . In the vicinity, you will find famous Tuscan towns including San Gimignano, Monteriggioni , Castellina in Chianti and Volterra .
It has one bedroom with a double bed, a living room with a kitchenette and a bathroom with shower. The living room is... equipped with a divan bed that can sleep two guests.
The house
Upon your arrival, you will see a simple stone building. In front of the entrance you will find the garden and a large patio, with a flowerbed and an olive tree in the middle.
You will be in a panoramic position, with a nice view of the Chianti hills.
From the patio you will be able to enter the lovely large living room, where there is a kitchenette and a dining table. The kitchenette is equipped with a four-burner cooker and a refrigerator.
You will find Casa Staffa a lovely place: it is furnished in a pleasant and accurate way, in the welcoming style of the Tuscan countryside. The floors are of terracotta tile, and the ceilings have exposed wooden beams.
The house is equipped with central heating, air conditioning, satellite television. A shared swimming pool as well as parking are available.
The garden
In the garden you will find a paved area, shaded by trees and equipped with a barbecue.
In the shade you will find a table with chairs.
This will be your favorite place to relax "al fresco" with a glass of wine, or maybe to enjoy long dinners, in front of a 180-degree view of the gentle Tuscan valleys and hills...
The swimming pool
A gracious downhill pathway, marked by terracotta and stone steps and lined with flowering hedges, will lead you from the house to the pool, which is located in the center of a green lawn.
Also from the pool, you will see before your eyes a vast panorama of Val D'Elsa and of the gentle hills of the Chianti Senese.
The pool is spacious, 7 X 14 meters (about 23 X 46 feet), and around it you will find umbrellas and sun-lounging chairs. It is open from June 1st to September 30th.
The pool is shared with the guests of two other small apartments.
The location
At Casa Staffa you will be within a farming estate of 13 hectares (about 32 acres), which produces Chianti wine. A large part of the terrain is covered with an oak forest. The grounds are completely fenced.
You can take walks along the small paths that lead through the woods, where you will often encounter domestic animals such as turkeys and geese, as well as wild animals such as deer, hares and rabbits.
On the farm, you can also see (behind fences) horses, goats and chickens.
An avenue of well-established cypress trees will lead you towards a small lake inhabited by waterfowl and by many goldfish.
This will be an exhilarating experience for your children!
The owners live on site. They will welcome you with enthusiasm, and will be available, yet completely discreet, to attend to your every need.

This land is filled with truly ancient history, as evident from the archeological discoveries in the area, which extend back to the Neolithic, Bronze and Iron ages, and to the Greek and Roman civilizations.
Colle Val D'Elsa is the nearest place where you will find shops, restaurants, supermarkets, banks, tennis courts and golf courses, and bike rental facilities.
