Description
Villa Patrignone has 7 large double bedrooms, each with private bathroom, a cavernous kitchen-dining room with large fireplace, and a lovely living room, with high vaulted ceilings, comfortable sofas and a library. The house was built sometime in the 1500s and still has most of its original features.
It is available to rent with a minimum of 4 bedrooms (8 people).
Each room is tastefully furnished and has its own unique character. Every room has a beautiful view, overlooking the Jasmine Courtyard, our olive groves, or the vineyards around us, and two rooms have 'Juliet' balconies looking west towards the valley and the sunset beyond. You can find descriptions of all the rooms on our website and choose your favourite room before the others do!
Two of the bedrooms can also be made up with 2 single beds, so that gives you plenty of flexibility. It's centrally heated, and the wood burner gives a lovely glow (and plenty of heat) for those spring and autumnal evenings.
There is plenty of outdoor space on the Terracotta Terrazza or for occasional al-fresco dining, or you can have evening drinks, meals and chats under the Olive Gazebo right outside your front door. Collect wood from the forest and build a campfire with fireflies twinkling all around you and the nightingales singing in the trees. And of course you can use our lovely swimming pool with it's amazing views.
Prices shown above are for exclusive use of Villa Patrignone using only 4 of the 7 bedrooms. Additional rooms may be added, but additional guest prices are based on 2 sharing a room. If your guest is in a room of their own, please add 2 guests to obtain the correct price.
Podere Patrignone is a beautiful old 15th Century estate ('podere') which has been lovingly and tastefully restored. It is divided into six self-contained apartments or villas, all beautifully furnished in a traditional style. Patrignone sits on top of it's own hill reached by a long, winding private road that ends at Patrignone. It is set in 150 acres of forest, olives and vines, with uninterrupted 360 degree views over the Tuscan valley below. It's the perfect setting for peaceful walks, sunbathing, cycling and exploring.
The swimming pool with one of the best views in Tuscany. Wake up to the mists rising through the trees and the beautiful views of surrounding vineyards, or catch an amazing sunset over the towers of San Gimignano and the snow-capped Apennines on the horizon.
Location
Podere Patrignone is right in the middle of Chianti, at the epicentre of Tuscany's cultural treasures, just 10 minutes from the beautiful hill-top town of Castellina in Chianti, with its restaurants, cafés and shops. Siena is 35 minutes away, and Florence 40 mins in the other direction, San Gimignano is 30 mins away. You couldn't pick a more central base for your exploration of Tuscany.
