The territory where Bed and Breakfast da Viviana is located offers different opportunities for everyone who loves nature but it is also a wonderful starting point for visiting Parma, Modena, Bologna, Verona, Pisa and Lucca or the spectacular landscape of Cinque Terre.

It is in the heart of the region famous for the production of parmigiano-reggiano cheese and Parma ham.

We have made special agreements with the local Parmigiano Reggiano dairy (2' walk) and with a producer of Parma ham at Langhirano (Parma) where you can go - free of charge - and see how these important local products are made.

Bed and Breakfast da Viviana is in Tuscan-Emilian Apennine National Park characteristic for the uncontaminated landscape and breathtaking views.

Castelnovo ne' Monti is the main hub and virtual nerve centre in the entire Apennine Mountains of Reggio Emilia and you will find several supermarkets, big fashionable shops, banks, a post office, a hospital, a theatre which also provides a first class cinema, ice cream shops, but above all a great feeling of hospitality and a true zest for life.

For the well-being of mind and body, 4 min drive from hour house you will find a beautiful SPA: swimming pool (indoor and outdoor), whirlpool, sauna, turkish bath, kneipp, gymnasium, massage treatments... We have made special agreements and they grant a 25% discount on the official rates to our Guests.

Whilst providing all the amenities you will need, Castelnovo ne' Monti has managed to remain a truly Italian town in one of the most stunning parts of the country.

The jewel in its crown is the magnificent Pietra di Bismantova which really captures the tranquil beauty of the Apennine Mountains and with its sheer rock faces provide one of north Italy’s most important training grounds for free-climbing.

Here, history is inexorably linked with the name of “Matilde di Canossa”. Castles and parish churches are the sign of this history which can also still be witnessed in the local customs and events of the area.

For the motorbike and car enthusiasts we are a short drive to Ferrari, Lamborghini, Ducati Museums and Factory.

For eating out in the evening, we are lucky to have a wide variety of excellent restaurants in the local vicinity and we can of course advise you.

  This was our first stay at a Bed & Breakfast and we could not have had a better experience. Viviana was most welcoming host. Perfect room and relaxing vacation.
  The breakfast each morning was delicious and conversation at breakfast was great.
  Wonderful view to the valley and mountains. Was very nice to sit on the terrace in the morning sipping our coffee.
  I would recommend this location to anyone...they will not be disappointed and we will most definitely return for another visit!

  We so enjoyed our 3-day stay in such a beautiful bed & breakfast. Viviana was very helpful and friendly and ready to help or answer any questions! Perfect room with breathtaking view of Pietra di Bismantova and the Apennine Mountains. We hope we can return some day!
