Set in the historic Val di Chio referred to by the Duke of Medici as the valley of God, this is one of Tuscany's most beautiful areas. Thanks to its perfect location, day trips from here could include a wine tour of many wine regions or a visit to any number of Tuscany’s famous villages: Montepulciano, Pienza, Cortona, Arezzo and Siena. Florence is also easily accessible by either road or by train. There is a train statin close by and the main Autostrade (highway) to Rome and Florence is easily reachable.

Clean, comfortable and spacious. These are important when choosing a vacation home and Daniella certainly has all of this.
Te bedrooms are very comfortable, clean bathrooms, a full kitchen with just about everything you might need. And outside well cared for and a joy to look at.
It is set in a wonderful position, great views and a sense of calm. The pool very clean and large enough for us all to enjoy.
The property sits overlooking the beautiful valley of Chio, and from here we managed to visit a number of Tuscan hill towns, and two wineries in the area (avignonesi and Polisiano) both wonderful and very enjoyable.
We were very happy her and are looking forward to a return visit one day. We are happy to recommend the villa and are sure you will too. -

We have stayed at this villa 3 times and will be staying there again this May (2013).
Our first stay was for 2 weeks in 2001. We were a party of 6 including my 80 year old mother. We appreciated the villa layout that has 2 bedrooms on the first floor so my mother didn't have to climb the stairs. Our last stay was in 2008 with a party of 7 to celebrate a 60th birthday. The large kitchen and covered patio allowed a great space to celebrate.
We used the villa as a base to explore most of Tuscany and part of Umbria. Our trips usually involve visits to Cortona, Piensa, Siena, Montepulciano, Arezzo and assisi. Castiglion Fiorentino is a charming hill town with good rail connections to Rome, Florence and places beyond. We have used the train to visit Florence and also used it for a quick 2 day trip to Rome in the middle of a 2 week stay. On one of our trips, we arrived by rail from Bologna. You will need a car as the villa is in the hills outside of town.
The charming host always has the villa in perfect condition and makes us feel welcome.
Our trips have been in late april and early May so we haven't taken much advantage of the pool except as a place to sit and enjoy the view. However, during that time, the drive to the villa is beautiful because of the poppies blooming in the olive groves.
If I were visiting Tuscany, I can't imagine a better place to stay. I highly recommend it.

We did enjoy our two weeks here. It was home from home. Relaxed and care free.
The property was clean and bright, everything for our needs. Of course, we do not have a pool at home - and this is what makes a holiday - having a special something for us all to enjoy. The views are marvelous and the surrounding just perfect.
The journey down the hill finds the the closest shop and restaurant. a very nice and friendly family restaurant. Also within easy drive is the town of Cortona and arezzo as well as the local Castiglion. Fiorentino where we liked to shop in old fashioned style - the bread shop, the fruit shop and the delicatessen.
The house though was perfect or us. we spent most days here, enjoying the surroundings, barbecues and just relaxing. The sunset and a glass of wine a great combination.
Our family of 9, included our parents,and our three children. Even for them there was lots to do, and when they needed other things, the Wifi cam in very useful.
We are happy to recommend this and, will return soon.
