Umbria n Casa Bella Vista go hand in hand. Every nite we would sit on the deck n drink
Vino as u do in Queensland australia, I thought my deck at home had great views out over the Pacific Ocean but it has nothing on this apartment. Todi n Perguia so close, Francesco so handsome (the guy you pay your rental money to ), Lorenzo the gentleman next door so helpfull, the apartment has everything u need, so inexpensive, Mark u need to increase your prices, would not hesitate to stay here again

We stayed in this wonderful apartment for 2 weeks, and found it had everything we needed. The apartment itself was large and beautifully decorated, and it was such a comfort to come back to in the evenings after long days of exploring the Umbrian countryside. We were really impressed by the large DVD collection, and amount of useful information left for us by the owners.. this helped immensely in planning days out, having never visited Italy before! The welcome pack was a lovely touch and hugely appreciated, as the food and wine in this region was delicious!! Will certainly be returning again, as it was truly an amazing holiday!

Stayed at Casa Bella Vista twice now. Each time it has been brilliant. It is like staying in a first class home, everything you could want or need is provided and it is all so clean and tidy. The venue is perfect for getting to so many places; we have visited many areas including Sienna, Florence and assis. We return next month with Pisa and Rome on our list of places we'd love to see.
My daughter has also been a few times and says that her summer vacation in Castiglion was fantastic, but she also had a very different fantastic time when she had a winter holiday there to celebrate her 18th birthday.Fabulous apartment, pretty village, stunning views, bundles of atmosphere and 10/10 to the Nutbeens for letting others come and share the experience of Casa Bella Vista!

The apartment is comfortably furnished and well-equipped, with two large double bedrooms, a large ensuite bathroom, and a separate shower room. The location is peaceful and idyllic, and the balcony commands spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.
Despite its rural location, the village of Castiglion Fosca is only about 15 minutes drive from the nearby town of Tavernelle; with its shops, restaurants, supermarkets and local street market. There is also an excellent swimming pool, near the southern shores of Lake Trasimeno, which provided welcome relief from the soaring daytime temperatures.
Casa Bella Vista provides an ideal base for touring Umbria and Tuscany, and for visiting historic towns and cities such as Perugia, Assisi, Siena and Rome. Our hosts, Mark and Lindsay made sure that we were made to feel welcome, and we look forward to returning someday to this beautiful region of Italy. -

The Casa Bella Vista is a wonderful place to stay! It's centrally located for many popular day trips, yet situated in a peaceful small town. The view is indeed very nice, and the church bells and birdsong provide a very authentic feel. The apartment is well appointed with everything you could need. And the hosts are helpful with directions and information about the area. The neighbors were very friendly. We felt welcome before we even arrived. I would recommend Casa Bella Vista highly!!

We had a lovely long weekend in the apartment. Unfortunately it snowed but snow chains on the car enabled us to get down the hill! Once the it had stopped snowing we had clear blue skies and the scenery was stunning. The apartment was homely and very comfortable. We cooked on the open fire in the kitchen, and even though it was chilly outside we were warm and snug inside!
We definately want to go back again and see the view without the snow! (aparently it was the worst weather in Italy for 28 years!) -

This was our fourth visit to Casa Bella Vista, and will certainly not be our last.
The views are breathtaking, the apartment is beautiful, relaxing and typically Italian and the people are wonderfully friendly.
The local food and wine is out of this world and I seem to always return home carrying 'excess baggage'.
We made good use of the kitchen and cooked just as much as we ate out, the location is spot on and very close to Lake Trasimeno, our favorite place is Castiglione Del Lago on the West shore of the lake, a treasure trove of hidden restaurants and shops as well as a beautiful beach.
I have recommended to all my friends and hope to return next year.

Left on 09/04/2011 for a stay in December 2010
My husband and I and our 9 month old daughter had a week in the apartment and loved every minute of it! We had friends from Bristol join us for the weekend that just made it perfect. The apartment had everything we needed for self catering and the village was a great place to walk and meet the locals. All the people in the building couldn't do enough for us and Francesco and Dina showed us the best of Italian hospitality! We loved exploring the region and had days out travelling around and also just days at home reading books this is a perfect base and we would definately go back for the bakery in Tavernelle alone!!

My wife and I always try to stay in a house or apartment as we tend to cook breakfast and dinner and eat lunch out. We also like the extra room. Mark's unit was very well set up with everything we needed for our week stay. It's well located and driving to nearby towns is very convenient. The balcony was small and since I don't like heights (it was only two stories high), it was a little unnerving for me, but most people would not have a problem. It was a very enjoyable stay. Mark provided some very good music cds and some movies, so we had a great time.

We loved the location as it was near to our family who live in the area.We found the comments book very useful,we would definately recommend the tour of the winery at Castello Monte Vibiano Veccho. The apartment is very spacious and it was lovely sitting on the balcony or even just infront of the window in the bedroom eating our breakfast looking out.

Left on 08/21/2011 for a stay in April 2010
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the apartment. It was a great location to explore the surrounding countryside, villages and towns. It was a joy to sit at the window of the main bedroom with a cup of tea and watch the locals begin their morning ritual, feeding chickens, tending their gardens and taking in the wonderful view. The residents in the other apartments were quiet and friendly. The property has been restored and decorated tastefully. We would be glad to recommend this accommodation to others.
It would have been good to have a washing machine but there is a laundry a few minutes drive away, this a minor detail that didn't impact on our enjoyment of the property.
