Haven home in wonderful location
Left on 05/20/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We booked this spotless home for a long weekend getaway with friends. How can you go wrong with the fab welcome pack containing home made guinness bread and other goodies (yum yum thanks Lorna).
Loads of great facilities, handy to just plug in the ipod and feel at home, and was so handy to be able to put the wash on after a day of beach and sand dunes!
We all love cooking, and the kitchen was well stocked so we could try out our gourmet creations!
So handy for the pretty sites of the North Coast, also handy to get to.
Comfy beds combined with the fresh clean air meant the best rest we've had in a long time. Perfect for a peaceful getaway. -

NewtownabbeyA real home from home
Left on 09/01/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Had an excellent stay here. There is a sky box so you can put your own sky card in and watch the channels you watch in the house. We had an excellent holiday here with my chum and our sons. There is lots to do and it is well located. The house is lovely and has everything you can think off. It is furnished and equipped to a high standard and the owners are very friendly and welcoming.
I would recommend it and we will be back -

NEWTOWNABBEYA home away from home
Left on 08/30/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We were very happy with our stay at the Holiday Home. We stayed for almost two weeks. The owner was friendly. We enjoyed scenic walks through the glen and grounds of Mussenden Temple or just the short walk to the town centre and beach. You are ideally located 5 minutes from Coleraine and away from the hustle and bustle of Portrush.
We stayed there with are son and it is a lovely house and a nice quiet cul-de-sac. It is a home away from home. There is a welcome pack which is much appreciated. would recommend as it leaves you well located for whatever you wish to do up the north coast.
Id recommend a trip to the Indus Valley too. -

My family and I stayed at Carraig Lodge for a weeks holiday in June 2012 and absoluteky loved it. The property is immaculate and has everything you need in a holiday rental; very comfortable and close to local amenities and the beach. The owner was very pleasant to deal with at all stages of the booking and the welcome pack was a lovely gesture. I would definately stay there again and would not hesitate to recommend this to others. Overall a great stay.

Really enjoyed staying at Carraig Lodge - it was very comfortable and homely. Lorna has thought of and provided everything - the welcome pack was delicious especially the Guinness brown bread! Castlerock beach is stunning and the local coffee shop was exquisite - we'll be back!

GreenislandSuperb accomodation in a great location!
Left on 08/28/2011 for a stay in August 2011
We had a fantastic 4 night stay at Carraig Lodge - it was a real "home from home". The bungalow was perfect, as we had two young children and an elderly guest staying with us. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and excellently equipped. The owners have thought of everything, including Wi-Fi, a gas BBQ, sky TV, and lots of local information. There was even a welcome pack with lots of homemade treats. The shortbread and lemon drizzle cake did not last very long!
Castlerock is a quiet town and an excellent base for sightseeing. The beach is amazing - the kids absolutely loved it. We had american visitors with us, and wanted to show off the best of the area. We done a lot of sightseeing, but at the end of a long day it was great to get back to Carraig Lodge to chill out. All in all we had a great stay and hope to return soon... -

EdinburghThis is the best self catering accommodation I have stayed in
Left on 08/17/2011 for a stay in August 2011
The bungalow was clean, bright, fresh, decor modern, kitchen well laid out and very well equipped. I have learned through experience to bring sharp knife/peeler but didn't need them here. There was a huge stock of books in case we went short of reading material and a stock of beach toys. It was a pleasure to stay and I only wish I had more than the week we had booked.

This is a great house for a family holiday. We were staying with three generations of our family including an infant and a person with mobility difficulties. This house easily accommodated all our requirements. It is comfortable and very well equipped and spotlessly clean. It felt like home from home and we very much enjoyed being so close to the beach and the beautiful Mussenden Temple. The welcome pack full of lovely home baking was also a really nice touch.

Very nice property with everything you could need (BBQ, Wifi etc). Welcome pack of home made goodies very much appreciated. Owner readily accommodated very late arrival due to cancelled ferry. Good location close to National Trust properties and handy for excellent beaches.
Suited eldery parent and young children alike. Even the weather was good!

Left on 03/11/2011 for a stay in October 2010
Stayed here over Halloween and received a lovely warm welcome when we arrived. They were very informative and helpful of things to do and places to go while we were there. The house is very well located for scenic walks and central for day trips to Giants Causeway, Rathlin Island or Londonderry etc.
The house is warm and clean inside with ample facilities to cater for all our needs and more. Will definitely come back in the summer for the use of the patio and BBQ alone.
We would recommend this to anyone looking a weekend away or a holiday with or without the kids. -

Left on 02/28/2011 for a stay in September 2010
We traveled to Castlerock from aberdeen on our motorbikes and the lodge was definitely a welcome haven after the journey and most certainly a better option than staying with the mother-in-law.
Most of week was spent on the patio with the BBQ lit making an attempt at getting a tan (who would have thought it possible in Northern Ireland?) but it was more than possible because of the ideal shape and location of the patio.
This is very well equipped location, and also well provisioned for motorists. It is homely and spacious, and with easy and quick access to famous tourist locations it makes an ideal destination for a relaxing holiday. -

Arrived to this idyllic house to be pleasantly surprised by the wonderful welcome pack which included edible homemade goodies. We had everything we could ever need a true home away from home!
This house is in a perfect location as we were visiting family near by and had the beauties of the local beach & chippy just 5minutes walk away, a definite must again especially in the warmer months to make use of the potential sun trap and large BBQ area.
Thank you for a wonderful stay. -

The house was immaculately kept and decorated inside and out. It was also very homely and welcoming. We very much enjoyed visiting the local attractions near by; lots to do and see. The welcome pack the owners provided was also a very personal touch; just what the doctor ordered after a long journey. Overall a wonderful stay. Will definitely return soon. Thank you for an enjoyable holiday.

Great place to stay – has to be the best equipped place we’ve ever stayed in – a real home from home. Lorna met us when we arrived and gave us local information as well as showing us round. The welcome pack with home made goodies was a lovely surprise. Very child friendly. Will definitely be back! Lovely area to stay in and excellent location for touring the north coast. I would recommend this to anyone looking a break away.
