Birds of a Feather is a three bedroom, two bathroom home located in the town of Caswell Beach on beautiful Oak Island, NC. The property features two queens, and two single beds. Caswell Beach, a four mile stretch from Country Club Drive and Oak Island's old bridge to the east end of the island, is primarily comprised of a pencil thin strip of land, home to a single road and two rows of houses. The western part of Caswell Beach is home to the Oak Island Golf Club, a George Cobb designed 18 hole championship course. This is our fourth stay at Birds of a Feather, our ninth trip to Oak Island in 5 years. Our attraction to Birds of a Feather is its quiet location and close proximity to the ocean--fabulous! Where else can you stay on the atlantic Ocean, walk on the beach, and be able to enjoy the beauty of the ocean--and the gorgeous sunsets--absolutely alone? Glad to see that Birds of a Feather is being renovated--new floor, ceiling work, painting, etc. We have enjoyed every one of our stays and never want to leave--every trip has had its own special experiences, like being able to witness the turtle migration. We also appreciate the fact that we can bring our dog along in the off seasons. The new linen service is very helpful.
