For the discriminating couple, couples or family, immerse yourself in my personal luxurious 3 bedroom contemporary beach house located on the south shore of unspoiled Cat Island. With easy access, but behind a hill, this very private 3000 sq ft home on 4 acres offers nearly a mile of deserted, sandy beach front, with excellent snorkeling, diving, kayaking, from your own backyard, yet protected by reef. Enjoy the cool ocean breeze, peace and quiet, with expansive ocean-front views from your covered porch. If you want to forego the ocean breeze, one can always use the air conditioning. Every amenity is here to satisfy the most discriminating v...acationer and also complete privacy. Cell phone service is excellent. Bring your Smart Phone, I-Pod or I-Pad for connection to the TV and Bose for your pleasure and personal music, movies and photos. DSL and Direct TV including WiFi for your convenience.

The heart of this home is the spacious gourmet kitchen featuring a large island bar seating six, with expansive black granite counter tops throughout. Novice cook or experienced chef will revel in the conveniences of dual dish washing drawers, double 36" refrigerator/freezers, 36" range, microwave, ice maker and wine cooler. Danish teak dining area seats six comfortably also. A wide array of small appliances facilitates food prep. Entertaining family is a real pleasure in the "Poodle House".

This spacious master bedroom accommodates you in great comfort with a king sized tempurpedic bed, two bureaus and night stands, TV, and a reading chair with table. You will enjoy the ocean view from bed and see the moon and stars at night. Step outside to enjoy the six person Thermo Spa if you need to relax from a hard day of beach combing.

My home is located on the southern shores of Cat Island. Off the main road but behind a hill. Located on 4 acres of secluded beach. No one comes down the drive unless invited. Your privacy is assured. The wind is normally out of the southeast so the breezes do cool as opposed to being on the leeward side of an island. See photos for an aerial view.

  Stayed for a full week with family and friends. What an amazing place! We especially enjoyed simply sitting on the back porch for morning coffee while watching the sunrise over stunning views of the Carribean.
  
  Great diving and fishing are nearby. We caught several nice-sized tuna, and had fresh sushi courtesy of a rare Big-Eye tuna we caught. The private beach and snorkeling are right in the backyard and are gorgeous.
  
  This is a perfect place to recharge and reconnect with families and friends.

  Best Vacation Ever

  My wife chose the Bahamas and since her nickname is Cat I thought we could not go wrong with an island with the same name. We had another couple that were suppose to go with us but on short notice cancelled but we decided to stay in this large house anyway. Little did we know how great this vacation was to be with just her and me.
  
  First and foremost Bruce was so helpful in our planning and our booking flight arrangements to Cat Island as well as arranging and introducing us to some of the locals for fishing trips, car rental, and food preparation needs.
  
  The house was immaculate and felt more like we were house sitting and not a vacation rental at all. The morning sunrise and coffee views from the back patio as well as the secluded beaches, snorkeling and kayaking were exactly the R&R; my wife and I were seeking. This is not a place for those wanting nightlife and need to be busy but truly for those just wanting seclusion and relaxation.
  
  We made new friends (Roy and Lucille) after an introduction from Bruce for a fishing/snorkeling trip on their boat. Roy was so helpful to my wife that had never before been game fishing. When we were done at the end of the trip we found that we had not only learned about the fishing but the reef surrounding Cat Island as well. My wife caught a +200lb blue marlin and together we caught enough Mahi to feed the village of Port Howe for Mother's Day that Sunday at the local church. After lunch on the boat we did some snorkeling and really got to know our host a little better and my wife and I were so at ease. The locals were the friendliest and we were treated like family during our short stay on their island.
  
  My only regret is we only had 8 days and that was not enough. We could have spent another week or more easily.
  
  But we are already making plans to return again in the near future.
  
  Thank you Bruce and all the people on Cat Island that made this the best vacation ever for the two of us.

  beautiful, well kept home. gorgeous beach that we had all to ourselves. we wouldn't even think of staying anywhere else on the island
