Best and first time at Catalina Island!

Left on 09/22/2012 for a stay in September 2012

We loved the Super Condo but it had no air conditioner. On a positive note it had beautiful views of the ocean from the master bedroom balcony and living room. It felt very cozy and loved the decor and large kitchen. The steep walk up to our condo was hard after all the walking and tours we had done but it was well worth coming home to. I just would have never thought that a beautiful modern condo would not come with air conditioner. I will no longer choose a condo with out air conditioner because it really makes a difference on your stay. We kept hearing people say that the weekend we stayed was one of the hottest. The space was comfortable perfect for 2 couples.

Great condo - needs deep cleaning

Left on 09/01/2012 for a stay in August 2012

The location and the view were fantastic and exceeded expectation. However, for the rental cost the cleaning was definitely inadequate - dusty/greasy countertops in kitchen, dark hairs in bathtub, etc. Also the dishwasher didn't really get the dishes clean even if you rinsed before loading.

My teenage boys loved the parasailing, zip line and the land and sea tour (which was my idea.) Since I had bad knees the hill and the stairs were a bit of a challenge for me, but the view made it worth it.

      100 Stars!!!Best Ever

Left on 06/27/2012 for a stay in June 2012

I can't begin to thank you for making our weekend vacation a memorial and pleasant experience. Your booking agent gave excellent recommendations on how to get to the Island from the airport so that we could get to Long Beach in time to reach the ferry.

The house that we rented was very nicely decorated and made us feel very welcome the minute we arrived. My husband even remarked that he loved the beach themed decor!! We were just two blocks from the beach and all the activities. We rented bikes, did the zip line (would recommend it) and hanging out at the beach.

Great job everyone and thanks again for making our mini vacation a special experience. By the way, I already have passed along your website to another friend and showed them this house since we enjoyed our stay with you.

Beautiful views, terrific house, perfect vacation lodging for fa

Left on 04/26/2012 for a stay in April 2012

The house was ideally equipped and designed, with two master suites, so that my husband and I could have a relaxing vacation with one of our grown sons. The kitchen was ultra-modern, beautiful and spacious. The nice decor made it feel home-like. We particularly loved that it is so well-located--just a short walk down to the harbor and restaurants, very near the grocery, and set on a bit of an incline, such that the ocean views were stunning from one master suite with its own terrace, and very nice also from the living room. We all thought it was the best location and condo we could have had for our Catalina trip.

Best place to stay on Catalina

Left on 05/19/2011 for a stay in September 2010

We stayed here for a friend's wedding for an extended weekend. This condo is absolutely lovely. It was by far the nicest place of any of the other vacation rentals I saw on Catalina... both on the internet and in person when we went into some of our friends' rooms. It's also a better value than the hotel. We had another couple stay in the 2nd room, which has its own separate bathroom, and it worked out perfect for us. I would definitely stay there again if there's another opportunity to go to Catalina.

Everything you could want in one place!

Left on 02/27/2011 for a stay in February 2011

This was the second time we rented 229a Beacon. It is everything we could possibly want in a vacation rental. It is close to the store, town, beach and hiking. The ambiance is very islandisk and well put together. Being slightly on the hill gave us the advantage of the harbor view with only a very little uphill walking. Next time around we will again ask for 229a Beacon.

Excellent home to rent; a little loud due to the closeness of neighbors. Catalina Vacation Rentals rock! Excellent agency!

Very comfortable and nicely furnished home. The views were fanatastic. We just loved sitting on the deck!!!! The stairs and hill to the home are a little tough but also a great workout!!! We were very happy with all the amenities provided.

Thank you for sharing your home.

This is our second year staying at 229 Beacon A. We love the home, it's perfect for two couples because there are two master suites. It is a barely two years old, very well maintained, the location is wonderful. I would highly recommend this property.
