We had a fabulous time in Catalina and a lot of it had to do with the location of our rental. It's located relatively central to everything we wanted to do and close to a Ralph's for extra snacks/drinks/toiletries. We arrived off the ferry earlier than the check in time but the office graciously allowed us to drop off our luggage at the rental while the cleaners were there.
This rental sleeps 4 comfortably. The sofa/bed was a little confusing to master in the beginning but once you get it set up, it's surprisingly comfortable to sleep on. The upstairs room and bed was great. The only gripe about this rental that we had was that the fan controller upstairs was missing. However, there is a portable room fan that was included and we definitely used it a lot upstairs. There were plentiful towels, 2 small bars of soap, and a bottle of combo shampoo/conditioner.
Overall we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this rental.
Great Time in Catalina
Left on 07/10/2013 for a stay in June 2013 | Luis
My family & I stayed in this apartment from June 29 to July 2. The Island is great, it was the second time for my wife & I and first time for my daughters.
Beware, this place does not have a/C; they have a ceiling Fan in both living room and bedroom, but the one in the bedroom was broken. So they had a regular fan in the bedroom closet, which it was also broken. If you are from Southern California, you know those days were the worst heat so far this year, so our first night was not pleasant at all. Next day there was a water leak, from the bathroom right into the kitchen. I went to the office and they told me they were going to send a maintenance guy. He went and left me a note to call. He later told us they couldn't fix the bathroom because it needs new caulking and it was going to take 4 day to dry... So, we stay there despite of the leak but were careful on not splashing a lot in the bathtub. The maint. guy took us a new fan for the BR.
The maintenance guy & the girls in the office were all friendly and polite. I just would have known in advance the unit didn't have an a/C.
The aptment looks exactly as the pictures, some appliances look actually brand new (fridge, microwave, etc).
Bedding and linens are OK, not great. The futon is in terrible shape but acceptable. The bed was great.
This is a super quiet town, however all those golf carts are really noisy at night, and the apartment is right on the street. Especially the living room where the futon is, and where my daughters slept, was noisy at night.
In general, our time there was great, despite those minor problems.
Weekend in Catalina

We come to Catalina every year for last 7 years and usually stay at different places. This place looks nice as if it was recently remodeled but it has lots of wear and tear once closely examined. We found 2 cockroaches downstairs and upstairs fan didn't work. Overall a decent place but a bit expensive, then again one should expect everything in Catalina to be more pricey.
As a rental it was okay...

The house was nice...it looks like it was newly rennovated. But looks are deceiving. However, the upstairs fan did not work, did not have a remote control which made the room hot. Had no ironing board and needed more pillows. The upstairs bathroom would have been more functional if there were shelves located around the sink...to place your toiletries...and a little disappointed with the blinds downstairs. Need to be repaired or replaced...

This condo suits our needs perfectly - and is easy walking distance to town and the ocean.. Kitchen is great for making simple meals like breakfast and lunch.. Rooms are well appointed and very comfortable.
This is our second year - and we'll be back next summer for more fun.

I used to be a resedent of Catalina and I try to come back as often as possible. This time my daughter and myself stayed at this cute little place. It was however very noisey with the traffic (golf carts all day and most of the night). Moreover, I understand that it was a holiday week so we took it in stride. The kitchen set-up wasn't that great as far as pots and pans but we made due. We had a great time and I would reccommend this place to a friend.

It was a very modern place. After a few hiccups it was great. Liked the location, close to everything.

We had not been to Catalina in 27 yrs since we don't live in the area. We flew in from ohio to visit with friends. We got very lucky and found this little house at the last minute after getting there and having to move from our original reservation. It was perfect for the two of us, really nice house, comfortable, clean, perfect location. It was a great time and great house. Can't wait to return. Would most definately use this company again.
The Perfect Weekend in Catalina Minus the Wind

We stayed in 343 Catalina #1 and it was such a cozy little Mederterranian Villa. Very nice and fairly reasonable (we split it with another couple & yes the futon was comfortable). All the homes in Catalina are small so this one was special because of it's newly remodeled charm which felt clean and cozy.
The staff was great! Our keys were waiting for us when we got there with our name and our place wasn't far from the rental office. We even checked in a bit early without any hassles.
However, by Sunday all the boats were cancelled and we realized that we were going to be stuck another night. After a little fanaggling we were able to get the room rate down to less than half of the normal rate.
We were all grateful and how accomodating the staff was.
All in all we had a wonderful time and will be booking again with Catalina Rentals.

Check in was easy and staff was friendly. This newly remodeled house is a two story at the end of the second block. Futon was extremely comfortable as was the large bed upstairs. Very little in the kitchen for cooking, some broken silverware, only 4 of each item requiring constant dish washing for a party of 4. (There is a small dishwasher) Steep stairs to upstairs. Lovely bathroom, again remodeled, though no shelving to place your toiletries, or soap dish. (Didn't want to damage the granite. Washer and dryer would make this more desirable. Overall, nice stay, really too small for 4 people if you bring snorkeling or scuba gear, however probably ideal for a couple.
