Nicely decorated two bedroom, two bath cottage located two blocks from the beach, shopping and restaurants. Nice front porch for relaxing! Great family cottage that has inside laundry facilities. Both bathrooms have a shower only.
This property rents on a nightly basis during the non-summer seasons (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted) and on a weekly basis (Sunday to Sunday) in summer (mid-June through Labor Day). Rates vary by week and are subject to change. Rates do not include one-time cleaning and linen fee, 12% City of Avalon occupancy tax, and processing fees.

Very nice place, clean, all amenities on site. No problems. Proximity to corner with 4 way stop sign makes front porch a bit noisy with lots of trafic stopping and starting. This is minor and would not keep me from renting this house again.

This was the second time my family ans I rented 242 Claressa. The house is warm, friendly and inviting. The fireplace offers the perfect respite during the colder months and added a wonderful ambience to the Super Bowl.
The kitchen and interior of the house has been improved to allow for a modern feeling while the open ceilings in the front of the house lends it a spacious quality along with a rustic feel
The Bedrooms are cozy with ample storage for clothing so as not to be forced to live out of your suitcase. Both bathrooms have been updated with some newer plumbing features which give the house a nice cozy feeling. The King size bed in the Master Bedroom was a welcome site, and the queen in the other room is more than adequate.
The furniture is older, but is kept clean and comfortable. Thr only potnetial place where change would be a welcome sight would be the carpeting throughout the house. The older shag has worn out in some areas and is terribly stained from years of wet feet in and out the house. Although the carpet is livible, I found myself unable to walk around barefoot in the house, and that was easily remedied.
We truly enjoy renting homes when we visit our favorite little home away from home. I would recommend this house for 2 adult couples with younger children. Or simply four adults, its location makes for easy walking to anywhere. -

The location was perfect however the unit needs to be updated. The carpet was old, worn and held an odor. The furniture needed to be repalaced with updated furniture and appliances. This is a nice unit but needs to have some TLC in order to require the amount of rent that is asked. I would only stay again if the unit and the ammenities are updated.

This house was adorable! The front porch was great and the location was phenomenal. It was so close to everything. It was perfect! My friends and I rented 2 different houses and everyone was jealous of mine because it was so cute. I highly recommend this property.

We love Avalon. We rented this house when we first started vacationing in Avalon (over 20 years ago). We had to rent a bigger house when more family would come with us. Now that we are a small group again we downsized and are renting are "first" house again. We golf every day. We walk through "big town" and enjoy running into our friends that we have met through the years.
The house is not fancy, but comfortable. The kitchen is not gourmet but has all the basic tools for a good, home cooked meal.
A nice front porch for people watching.

My stay at this property was nice, but when I told the property management that the master bathroom was leaking water, they didn't offer an apology or a solution. It was leaking rather heavily, the floor was peeling up aroung the toilet and was dangerous for my kids to use, so I had them use the front bathroom.
Other than that, it would have been nice to have more than 4 tiny towels, given there was 6 of us staying there, so we had to share.
Given the price, the place needs some updates to the property, especially the bathroom.
It is extremely conviniently located with a short walk to the main strip, fairly quiet and slept 6 people nicely.
Hopefully the repairs have been made since last June so that anyone who stays there is more comfortable. -
