This wonderful two-level home has a deck off the master bedroom upstairs, offering a mountain view, and a gas fireplace in the living room. You'll find a TV and VCR in every bedroom. Comfortably decorated, it's one of our finest family friendly houses. One bedroom and bath are on the first floor.
This property rents on a nightly basis during the non-summer seasons (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted) and on a weekly basis (Sunday to Sunday) in summer (mid-June through Labor Day). We rented this place for a week. It seems new, very clean, and it's a super location. Lots of space for family gatherings, good cooking facilities. Be aware that like most island houses there is no a/C, so street noise will be evident with windows open, like in any city. Rental agent was great to deal with. We found mattress on king bed in master BR a bit soft, but we got used to it.

House is nice and big. Plenty of seating in family room for relaxing after a day at the beach. Unit is right around the corner from Von Express which makes trips to the grocery store very easy. Washer and dryer are very tiny would be my only negative. Tried to pack light since we had laundry in unit but it was so small it took to many loads. Who wants to do a ton of loads of laundry on vacation!! Would rent this home again would just pack with the small washer in mind.

The house is large for rentals in avalon and in a great location, which is the main reason we rent it. It feels like a rental house (not a home) -- impersonal, not always carefully maintained (furniture and carpet looks more worn each year, we've had problems with bathroom fixtures most years tho' not in 2012). Great to have a washer and dryer for longer stays on the island (esp. With kids). The dishwasher is a nice plus, as is the balcony off the master bedroom. It would be nice if the house came with beach chairs, an umbrella, and beach towels, as many other rental houses do, especially as we fly out from the East Coast and can't bring our own. The huge downside is price --- it's extremely expensive, even for avalon.

This place was just perfect for our family. The house was nicely done and had everything we needed and the location was just right. Nice to have a fireplace in December. But the handling of the rental through this agency really made it a pleasant stay. They made sure we were happy with the accommodations. Highly recommend this place.

House was clean and very accommodating. Staff at Catalina very helpful and professional. Only complaint that we recieved a charge earlier today (3 days after stay ended) for $4.95 without explanation. It's not a big amount but I have no clue what it's for. Otherwise we loved it!

This house was super for two families with 4 kids under 7. Two sets of bunk beds and nice bedrooms for the adults. There were two sitting areas if you include the deck off of the master. Very close to town, mini-golf, stores, etc. Only warning is the carpets seem worn (but this was late august).

I was very disappointed in the condition of the house upon arrival. Weeds in from of the house, outline window trim rotted and paint is peeling. The carpet is filthy, walls, doors, tile grout extremely dirty. The various blinds are broken as well as handles on kitchen cabinets and bedroom dressers. The owner needs to invest in new master bedroom comforter, sheets and pillows. I plan to return to Catalina but will not be renting from Catalina Rentals. This house needs three years worth of spring cleaning. I would suggest a serious walk through with the owner and rental agency.

There's really nothing much to say because everything went as planned, the condition of the house is as described on their website, check in and out is smooth and trouble free.

This house is in a teriffic location! We loved the convience! We took a $20 cab ride from the boat dock to the house upon arival due to our overabundance of luggage. DON'T waste your money!! The house and the rental company are so close it was money better spent elsewhere! When we left that Sunday we walked to the dock. The house is pretty basic, clean and had conviences such as a washer and dreyer. We traveled with 6 adults and 2 children. It was perfect for 8. We had originally planned on having 8 adults and 4 children and had we done that the house would have been way to crowded! The upstairs patio is wonderful. Having three pretty much full baths was very convienent. Overall I really liked this house and the management company was incredible. I would stay at this property again!

The home was very nice, and the location was ideal for any activities. Catalina Island Vacation Rentals was helpful and provided quick and service. However, the only complaints that we had about the house was that there was mildew all under one of the toilet bowls, and that there was no spatula for flipping while cooking in the kitchen. In addition, the older woman who lives next door is extremely anal about even the slightest noise or disturbance. For example, at 10:01pm she came out to remind us that the deck lights had to be off by 10pm. Also, after coming back from a night dive at 1am we were trying to put away equipment as quickly and quietly as possible and yet we were called by both the neighbor and the rental agency all within the five minutes it took us to putt it away.

After a somewhat shaky start - we were in the wrong house, everything was amazingly smooth. Catalina Vacation Rentals handled the change promptly and with a great deal of courtesy. It was a pleasure to do business with you guys. The house was clean and well appointed. We loved the location. Everything worked the way it should. We left some sand toys for the next visitors.
It was a terrific holiday! -

The home was spacious and well located, but had a number of flaws. It appeared to be fairly beat up for a home that isn't that old, and some of the furniture needs serious cleaning and/or replacing. There were not nearly enough drinking glasses for a home that sleeps eight, a t.v. was missing, and the master bedroom ceiling fan didn't work. There were a lot of little things broken or in need of repair around the home, which was irritating, and took away from the home's charm. The expectations for this home were higher for the rental fee paid.

Every year we get together. It's not supposed to be about where we
get together, just that we spend time reconnecting. We usually stay in
a hotel, but what a nice change to be able to be comfortable in a
quaint home that felt so far away from the world. None of us had
been to Catalina in years and it was such an "ah haa" moment for
everyone. We shopped, ate, hiked, took a tour and spent time in our
"home away from home" relaxing. The house was the right size and
so close to everything. It had all the amenities we needed and wanted.
The rental staff were also very accommodating, making sure we were
well taken care of. The six of us would love to come back and stay
again. Thank you! -

Hello, well.... The house was nice except for a few issues. 1. the master bedroom upstairs door lock doesn't work. The ceiling fan in the master as well as the light didn't work either. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't 90 degrees out. A few of the fans in the down stairs bedrooms were also broken. We had several kids on this trip and it was extremely hot so this became a concern because the houses are so close in Avalon there is virtually zero wind between the houses. I would stay at this location again. I only hope the issues have been fixes. I have stayed at several properties at Catalina vacation rentals and in all I would recommend them.
