Am well familiar with this property, as I owned a home a few doors up. (Recently sold my home) It was a pleasure renting 310, and, hope to do so again in the future. Property, was very clean and comfy. Two minor little issues: 1) Vent above stove was "askew". causing "dirt" to land on top of stove. Also, shower faucet in back bathroom, was impossible to shut off tightly, causing for water to continue running. Called the rental agency, which, took care of these issues right away. Happy the latter was addressed by adding a valve shut-off, so water would not be wasted.
Can't wait to rent again!
Cordially,

Left on 12/05/2012 for a stay in November 2012
This cottage could sleep 6 comfortably. We only had 4 adults and it was perfect. Though all of the cottages are small, this one felt spacious.
The bathrooms have all been upgraded with walk in showers. A big kitchen with a really cold fridge. The furniture was very comfortable.
It is located on a very quiet street. Which we enjoyed. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it is a couple of blocks away from the main street, but still in reasonable walking distance.
We come over for the triathlon in November and will definetely ask for this cottage again! -

This is the 2nd time we have rented a house for a week on Catalina. We love working with Civr as they make it as easy as possible. The house at 310 Descanso is great if you are a no frills needed kind of family. I am not so much. It was very small, and the bathrooms were microscopic. I had to turn sideways to fit in the shower and you couldn't put your arms straight out or even bent at the elbows without touching the walls of the shower. The living room was where we hung out the most as it was the biggest and coolest room in the house. Evening breezes were great, but during the day it was pretty hot even with the ceiling fans going. The kitchen had no dishwasher and I think in this day and age that is just plain unsanitary. We ended up buying paper goods to use for the week which was pretty expensive but the only alternative as far as I was concerned. No washer and dryer meant a mid-week trip to the laundromat which I'm not a huge fan of either. It was relatively clean, however a lot of the grout in the baths was black - gross! and the floors had been swept but not mopped in I don't know how long. The rugs in the bedrooms were also disgusting and needed to be cleaned badly. I had shoes on my feet the entire time and the rest of my family who didn't had black feet, even minutes after getting out of the shower and walking around the house. The location was great, just a couple of blocks up from the beach and easily within walking distance of everything. The neighbors were very nice and friendly but were up early banging around their trash cans right outside our bedroom window which wasn't great since we were on vacation and wanting to sleep in. It did have a small microwave, full size refrigerator, gas stove and garbage disposal. Would love to see them update and put in a dishwasher! All in all we had a great week and my daughter and her best friend had a blast. I will just be much choosier in our choice of house next time around.

Catalina Bound Girls!
TehachapiJust an amazing Experience!
Left on 06/27/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We have been visiting Catalina for over 4 years now, and every year we add extra days to our visits. First time was 3/4 day, second was 1 day-as late as we could, third-1 night (in hotel),and this time-2 nights. My experience with Civr has been an amazing one! Unfortunately for them, I am a very detailed person and asked Civr every question I could think of over a period of 3 months! They were very cordial and and pleasant to deal with, that was my first pleasant and award winning experience! Second, the house was immaculately clean! The furniture was comfortable, the beds were also amazingly comfortable (my 2 teenage girls boasted about the room with the captain's beds!)! There was plenty of supplies, the kitchen was fully equipped (even a bagel slicer! How did they know we brought bagels?:)!); there was nothing to complain about! This house accomodated all 6 of us girls very well and we all enjoyed our stay! The native neighbors were also pleasant and, in fact, invited us to their block party! Very friendly people, they made us feel welcome! I do not have one bad thing to say about Civr or the adorable house! We all voted and decided we are reserving this house again next year (Gma's already attached)for 3 nights; we'd stay here anyday over a hotel! In regards to the cleaning fee--they do their job! No complaint's here!

Left on 11/02/2009 for a stay in October 2009
We had a very nice time. The house was clean and had everything we needed--fridge, coffee maker, tv, etc. The house is small-ish, but it was fine for all of our needs. It was a short walk to just about everything in Avalon. Finally, the price was right--we got the winter season rates, which was a bargain.
Also, the staff at Catalina Island Vacation Rentals was very, very helpful. Thank you! -

We were a troupe of 6 here to perform at the Jazz Trax Festival. This little
house was made to order for our needs. It is close to everything, has fabulous
showers, TV and living room separated from the bedrooms by the kitchen, hall
and bathroom so that one musician could stay up late practicing (without amps
of course!) and not disturb the others who might want to sleep. Thekitchen
also had everything we needed. It is tasteful, clean and reasonable. -

Bay Area, CaliforniaCozy with good air circulation
Left on 08/21/2009 for a stay in August 2009
This house is small, but well organized. It was freshly painted and the kitchen was adequately equipped. The shower doors are very narrow, so if you are obese, you won't be showering all week in this house! It was not unusually noisy (for a house on the flats in Avalon). The best feature is the air circulation - cross-ventilation in almost every room and ceiling fans in all rooms helped us to keep the house comfortable and cool.

Left on 01/27/2009 for a stay in April 2008
Together with my daughter and grandchildren we spend 2 days staying at this delightful little house, exploring Catalina Island mostly by walking throughout the streets of Avalon and the near countryside. We spend time at the house playing card-games and other games and conversing.
We enjoyed [seven of us] our time at the house and I recommand this clean vacation house for extended family vacatios and/or re-unions. We all found Avilon to be a beautiful and interesting place to visit!
The quaint houses and streets have a European charactor and and the restaurants reflect a wide variety of advanterous eating possibilities.
However,I recommand a stay of longer duration for a more thorough exloration of the island and more family-togetherness.
Everything in the house was functional, clean and neat.

Great house, and good times. The last stay was way too noisey to be reasonable and relaxed, with the 20 plus full timers inhabiting the house on the beach side....
have not re-uped for next year. -

THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME THAT I HAD STAYED AT A RENTED HOUSE WHILE VISITING THE ISLAND.
IT WAS VERY COMFORTABLE BUT I COULD SEE THAT THE LIVING ROOM CUSHIONS, AS WELL AS, MY OWN BEDDING NEEDED TO BE REFRESHED.
THERE WAS A USED BATH TOWEL ON THE BACK OF MY BEDROOM DOOR AND I MAY HAVE HAD AN ALLERGY TO PERHAPS, THE SOAP THAT WAS USED TO TREAT THE BEDDING BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN TREATED FOR A MINOR SKIN CONDITION SINCE I HAVE RETURNED FROM MY STAY THERE.
ASIDE FROM THOSE TWO ISSUES, THE HOUSE WAS VERY WELL STOCKED.
THANK YOU AND I HOPE TO VISIT THE HOME AGAIN SOON. -

We had problems with the toilet in the master bath, it did not flush the entire weekend. The realty office tried to fix it, but to no avail. We were very put out by the inconvenience, plunging a toilet while on vacation is not my idea of fun.
Other than that, the house was charming and very centrally located.
