This beautifully decorated and spacious two-story vacation home has all the modern conveniences. Open floor plan with kitchen, large dining area, and living room, which has a gas fireplace. Three bedrooms, including the master suite, are upstairs, and the fourth is downstairs. The master bedroom has a great sitting area with a gas fireplace; french doors open onto the deck. Two new 42" flat screen TV's with Blu-Ray have been installed - one in the master bedroom and one in the living room. The house was perfect for the weekend. Very spacious and open. Everything was fully functioning. I couldn't have chosen a better place. Location was also perfect, very close to the main street. We walked the entire time without a problem.

There were lots of cockroaches at this house. Civr responded by giving us one free night and setting out roach motels, but the roaches ruined our stay. Roaches made for a poor Xmas.

Sorry about the issue with your recent stay. We have never encountered that problem with this property. We did offer to move you to a similar property, which you decided against. I understand moving part way thru a stay may have been an inconvenience. So that is why we gave the free night. The issues have been addressed.

Catalina Island Vacation Rentals is the best property management company - hands down!!! I've been renting homes over on the Island for about the last 10 years - I always receive excellent service.
The home that we rented and have for the last two years is very quaint and homey!!! 4-bedrooms which accommodates 6 to 8 people (children included). The Master Bedroom has a nice balcony off of it that's great for bbq'ing or just chilling and sunning.
It's located just two/three blocks away from the hustle and bustle of Catalina Island. All the restaurants, stores, etc.
What I like best about this house is that it suits our needs completely: it's centrally located, it's large enough, and it's comfortable enough.
It's time for the owners to do some internal upgrading - some of the furniture is just a little too homey and worn.

What an amazing vacation - we'd book again for next year but
our son is in the Navy and we are not sure where he'll be yet.
Thank you Cat. Is. Vac Rentals for resolving the party issue across the road - the remaining 5 nights were heaven.
Thank you also for the new toaster - made my husband's mornings.
Loved the house and it worked beautifully for our family
space wise and so many things already there (salt, videos, sand pails) for us to feel right at home.
The only little thing I could suggest is that the bed pillows be replaced and then washed occasionally. The beds were very comfortable and my husband's back is fussy so that says alot.
We think the house and Catalina Vacation Rentals are 5 star.

We had seven family members with us to celebrate three birthdays. The house was a perfect size and allowed us to have enough bathrooms and beds for everyone. The kitchen was well-stocked, and it had all of the conveniences we needed. The location was fine for us, since we could all walk the three blocks into town and the beach. We liked the beach decor and the open spaces of the kitchen, living room and dining room. The only complaints were that the bunk beds and the twin beds had hard mattresses that were uncomfortable. The king beds were fine.

We come to Catalina every year for Memorial Weekend with a few other couples. The house was clean and very roomy. Prefect for families. The open kitchen with living and dining room is great for large groups. The patio upstairs was fun for us to sit, drink, and talk on. Walking distance to everything! We will definitely look into staying here again!

This house was perfect for a large group. Great big eating area and family room. Loved the Tv's and Vcr's in every room that kept the kids out of our hair while home :). Such a nice touch with the video library, games and puzzles. Also, beach chair, umbrella, and boogie board in the closet was a great treat. The outdoor deck was relaxing and warm. Street was quiet compared to others around and easy distance from everywhere, even with small children walking. The next door neighbors leave a little bit to be desired, but it was quiet at night and we had no real problems. Just being in this house made it a vacation for us...inviting, comfortable, and spacious. Would definitely stay here again; doubt anything else would compare.

We really enjoyed our stay at 329 Descanso. We felt comfortable in the home. It was clean and tidy. There was enough space for our whole party and we actually miss it. I will try to book this home on future visits to Catalina Island. We may have left a headlamp in the master bedroom. If it is found, could I please be contacted? Thanks so much!

This Catalina home provided all the space, comfort and amenities one could want, and was very clean and decorated with wonderful Catalina art. You felt like you had been invited into a firend's home to stay for the week on the island. It was a wonderful experience. We have stayed in many homes on the island and this was our absolute favorite. The location is a little farther from town than we would like but it is worth it. the upstairs deck has a nice view of the ocean. We cannot wait to return.

4 bedroom condo... such a comfortable place to relax for a few days. my family and i loved the place. the are was really nice and the kids loved the golf carts going up and down the stree.
we loved the rooms and the patio on the second floor was a big hit for everyone

This is a beautiful home on a quiet street. Easy walk from the ferry landing and the main part of Avalon. The interior is clean and updated and very spacious. I would recommend this home.

We'd definitely recommend this house - lots of space for the six of us. We usually have a golf cart when on Catalina but it was a short walk to Front Street and we really didn't need one (though it would have been nice for drives in the hills or to the Wrigley Jr Mausoleum and Botanical Gardens). The only deck is out of the master bedroom, nice deck but we didn't use it. Love the place, we'll be back another year.

We spent a fantastic July 4th week at 329 Descano Beach Home. We had a wonderful time. This is the first time that we stayed at this particular vacation rental. The last 4 years we rented another home on the island.
The house is located on one of the quieter streets on the island. Everything was in order when we arrived, and we were pleased to
learn that the pictures online matched the home. It's actually nicer than the pictures!
We are so happy that we found 329 Descanso. It was perfect for our family of 8. We felt right at home. We already reserved the house for July 4th this year! -

A wedding was the reason for our visit to Catalina, my daughter was getting married. We had lots of family and many many friends arriving by the boatloads! The house was a perfect fit to accommodate the immediate family. Well appointed and close to the beach for the kids.
I would recommend this home to anyone for it's convenience not only in location but more importantly, the floor plan. Fabulous. -

We have loved renting this property for New Years for the past several years. This year we noticed that there has been a decline in the upkeep of the property. The carpet is dirty, the walls need touchup paint and the kitchen is not well stocked.

The house was perfect for our family. There was plenty of space and
easy to live in. The kitchen was open and had everything you need to
cook meals. The house was quiet which is great considering the
houses are very close together in town. We would definitely stay there
again.
