This is a quaint three bedroom, 1 3/4 bath cottage located approximately three blocks from downtown and the beach. The three bedrooms are classic Catalina tandem bedrooms (queen, twins with trundles, queen MBR/full bath) with an open floor plan for the living space. This home will sleep a maximum of 8. You will find a new flat panel TV in the living area and a fully equipped kitchen with a pass through window/counter. No smoking, please.

We liked the place, which is spacious enough for 6 adults. It was clean when we got there. The only thing that I would suggest adding to the unit is an electric fan in the living room, and perhaps a complimentary golf cart which is the popular form of transport in the island added to the rental package. Definitely, this is a place we would stay in again when we go back to Catalina Island.

We enjoyed our stay @ 331 Descanso. We hadn't been to the island in over 20 years, but it was just as we remembered it. As far as the house, all the amenities we needed were there, it was clean and the location was great. Even though we had to walk through one bedroom to get to the next, it was ok because it added to the charm of the property. (Although if you're sharing the house with people other than family, this might not be the property for you.) Overall, we had a great week here!

Nice, quiet location. The house had plenty of room for everyone to sleep. The kitchen was well equipped. There was a dining table for 4 people, so our family of 5 could not all sit down together. This was not convenient for a family dinner, but it was fine for coffee and cereal in the morning and sandwiches for lunch. This house does not have a washer and dryer and it was difficult to find places to hang wet bathing suits and towels.
Checking in was easy. The ladies in the office were friendly and knowledgeable. We would definitely stay here again. -

We made the best of it even though it was very inconveniet not having a hallway. Having to disturb individuals by walking through the rooms to get to the front of the house was not enjoyable. It should have been disclosed prior to renting the property.

It was anouther great year on the island been going for 30+ years. This is a great house had plenty of room. It did need a few things, towels for the kitchen, possibly a hose out front to rinse after returning from the beach but other than that great house. Thank you for anouther year!

Thanks for your response. All of our kitchens should be set up with two hand towels and two dish towels. Also we provide starter supply of paper towels and toilet paper. Regarding the hose in the front of the house our town sometimes is put on water restrictions so we do have to limit outside H20 access.

I wanted to take my wife somewhere special, for her birthday. So I looked for hotels in catalina and I couldn't find one at our price that I could afford to take some our friend with us. I was looking on-line and ran accross this home rental at a price I could take some of our friends and not empty my pockets. Of coures this place is Catalina Vaction rentals, We had a great time with our friends. We went on a site seeing trip by ourself renting an golf kart and stopped at one or maybe it was two local taverns. Everyone said they had a great time and next time they where going to pick-up the bill. I really do reconmend this house, all 8 of us slept comfortable and we ate well too. we Bar-B-Q steaks and hotlinks and made our own mix drinks while we played mexican train[domino game] aimost aii night. Oh yea the neighbers where out of this world!!! Nice people!!!! And yes my wife had a great time on her B-Day and wants to return sometime this year. AND WE WILL, so untel then will be writting ya-ll after our next vacation. YOURS TRULY RAY NUNEZ

Close to the action, but not too close. We had exactly 8 people staying in the house. It was a bit cozy and the bedrooms are located 3 in a row so you walk thru one bedroom to get to the other. However, with grandparents, parents and kids staying there, it was just fine. The house was clean and the kitchen was fully stocked w/the essentials. Would rent this house again.

Nicely decorated, but the fact that you had to walk through one bedroom to get to another bedroom made it very disruptive. Only recommend if you are not sharing the house with another family.
