This is a perfect vacation home for one or two families. Beautifully decorated and spacious, this two story home with lots of windows which provide lots of natural light was totally remodeled in 2008. It sits on a corner lot on upper Claressa with a side patio off the dining area. There's a spacious great room with a living room area and a dining area with a large table plus bar height counter with stools facing the open kitchen. This property is the top of the line. Fireplace, TV in every bedroom and lounge, everything upgraded, great showers, lovely outdoor bbq to roast hot dogs, etc. We loved the stay and highly recommend this location!

Six of us rented the house, and it was perfect for us! Lots of room for us to hang out as a group and plenty of room for privacy, too. The house itself is very nicely appointed and very comfortable. Everything is relatively new and very well taken care of. The outdoor kitchen for grilling was a nice treat. Good water pressure, too!
The house is a good walk to the main street of avalon - Crescent, but it's a flat walk.
Catalina Island Vacation Rentals was also very helpful and went out of their way to ensure that we had an enjoyable vacation in one of their properties. -

Catalina is just a gem. A great place for family and friends. 357 Clarissa is probably the best rental on the flats for a large family. It is clean, spacious, and especially bright.

We loved the house. We were able to fit my siblings and our kids in comfortably with room to spare. The outdoor grill and entertaining patio was perfect for family gatherings in the evening. There was plenty of room in the kitchen for preparing large meals and seating for all. The house had been updated and was beautiful with natural sunlight and tasteful decore. We hope to get back there next year.

The house was great for all of my siblings and myself. More then enough room/bathrooms and all the fixings for cooking on the BBQ. We had a couple of house keeping issues, like the living room DVD player was not working and one shower was draining slow, but with one phone call and in a matter of a couple hours, everything was fixed and working great! They even delivered a package of steaks I had shipped to their offices to our house, so they were waiting for us when we came home from our day out! I would recommend this house for any large vacation party and the management company was wonderful to work with! Thank you!

I was very pleased with the home...but the constant noise from the Golf Carts is why I didn't 're-up' for next summer.
The kitchen was so well stocked and the towels, bedding and furniture was alll so very nice.
Just the fact that there was enough toilet paper for the weekend was a plus from years past. -
I have island fever!

Our group absolutely loved staying here! It was super gorgous, roomy, and clean. The kitchen is very well stocked with utensils and appliances and anything you'd need. After doing activities all day, it was so nice to come back to this house and relax. The rooms are awsome, and the three master suites (3 king beds/ w. bath) was so great because no one had to wait for another to take a shower.This home had a perfect layout so that our group of eight didn't feel like we were always running into one another. It was just perfect, as soon as we left everyone was saying that if we were to come back to Catalina, we can only stay here. Also, we had a little problem with the stove but called CIVR, and they came quickly and solved it within ten minutes. Thanks CIVR!

This is our third rental house from Catalina Vacation Rentals for family vacations in Avalon. Everything was basically new and in perfect working order, and just what we needed for a relaxing week after Christmas. The property was as amazing as the customer service from the rental office. Having so many bathrooms (with three private!) helped the mornings and evenings go smoothly.

Once a year my sister, two brothers and our spouses get together for a
weekend. I live in Southern California, and this was my year to choose
locations. We stayed one night at the Queen Mary, then boarded the Catalina
Express and headed for 357 Claressa. We were blown away by how nice the
house was: it is well equipped, nicely furnished and decorated, and with five
bedrooms and five baths, it is extremely workable for four couples. Three of
the rooms have king beds and their own baths. Two rooms upstairs (one
w/twins and one with a continental bunk) share a bath. The house is off the
main drag, so sheltered from the hustle and bustle, but only a short walk to
get to shopping, restaurants and the water. We played games, cooked and, of
course, shopped. And, last but not least, split four or five ways, it's
affordable, making it a very nice, very comfortable home that I hope to come
back to. -

I am in love with this place. 10 beds! 5 bathrooms. Room for everyone and enless hot water. Amazing kitchen and great space to chat and hang out. If you find legos hidden in the couch or anywhere it was from us. :)

This home is absolutely fabulous! The pictures do not do the 2008 remodel justice. The upgrades are all completely 1st class with granite countertops, stone showers and and high quality built-ins. It was a comfortable, beautiful and spacious place to spend a great long weekend for us 7 gals. The location is also a big plus - just a few blocks walk to the main thoroughfare. We were all wonderfully surprised with this fantastic rental and want to make it an annual event - at this house! Management company was always available and responsive. A very postive experience all the way around!

We rented this amazing property as a family "staging area" for our daughter's Catalina wedding in April. The five bedrooms and five bathrooms gave everyone plenty of room to get ready, and the spacious and well appointed kitchen, huge dining room table, and patio allowed us to comfortably provide family dinners, BBQs, and pre-wedding get-togethers with the new family members. I can't think of a single negative comment - we fell in love with this beautiful,sun filled home and hated to leave. Many other rentals that "sleep 8" unfortunately had very small living rooms and dining tables - as the wedding "hostess" I was initially attracted to this property by the pictures of that endless dining table and kitchen and I was not disappointed. Every detail is top quality and like new - much nicer than my own home! I would HIGHLY recommend this property - I can't imagine a renter that would not be completely satisfied with their choice!

We had 8 people celebrating my husband's 60th birthday and could not have found a better place. The house was absolutely gorgeous, very modern, airy with plenty of light and space for all 8. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious. We used the BBQ and the patio area with the outdoor heater. This house had everything you could possibly need for a weekend. We walked everywhere as this house was in a good location to everything. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed staying there. Would highly recommend this to anyone and would definitely go back. Thanks!

I guess the best thing that I can say about this house is that we were all sorry to have had to leave it! We were fortunate to be among the first families to rent it, as it was newly remodeled. The beach decor and light color scheme was always very cheerful, even on overcast days. At nite or early morning we turned on the fireplace to warm things up and add that extra ambiance!
It was great to have so much seating for dining and still feel cozy! The outdoor kitchen was perfect and private! The location gave it a very "open" feel.
Next visit we will stay longer! The only thing that I would add to this lovely home are "additional" foam mattress pads, as I am a princess and require softer bedding! :)
This would make the home a perfect 10! -

This house was a great stay because it was big enough to have a lot of family, yet private enough not to be shoulder to shoulder. The bathrooms were roomy & gorgous, the patio was terrific, you didn't really have to worry about making a lot of noise. We'll be back. Thanks, J.T.

This is one of the most luxurious homes in Avalon, within just 3 level blocks to the beach. It is very spacious and even includes a fenced patio, as well as a deck.
It's brand new and has every feature...except for the custom designed sofas which are not comfortable...but we all sit on the floors anyway!
It has lots of bedrooms and lots of bathrooms and is a great place to be! -

This house is perfect for entertaining a large group.
We held a large BBQ birthday party here with cocktails out on the patio around the fire pit and throughout the living and dining room, then moved into the large dining room easily seating 12 people, then on to the living room for dessert. We could have easily had seating for several more at the counter next to the dining room table if we needed it. The large BBQ area has the room for a serious BBQ production.
Only issue we found was there is no stereo so we brought our own iPod and stereo speakers for background music.
HDTV in all bedrooms was nice for all our guests. -
