      Cute Property

Left on 04/18/2013 for a stay in March 2013

We stayed over Easter 2013 and had a wonderful time. The kitchen is fully loaded, great washing facilities, nice gas BBQ and wonderful side yard. Plenty of dishes, towels, etc. Two full baths (one tub only) and an outside shower. The beds need replacing. The location is close to the golf course which is a plus if you are transporting your clubs. Cannot give a 4 star for comfort due to the beds and a little traffic noise.

It is a nice corner lot but little on the noisy side with the traffic. I would definitely recommend Catalina convert golf carts from gas to electric.

      Best equipped rental ever!

Left on 04/09/2013 for a stay in April 2013

We can't say enough good things about Civr and this property in particular. When water damage closed the house we rented, Civr moved us here. Best place ever for three generations of family to relax and have fun together. We found absolutely everything we needed from kitchen tools to whip up a pasta dinner for seven to a well stocked game cupboard -- enough to keep three kids(and four adults) happily entertained while stranded an extra day by high winds. Civr gave us a super break on the extra night--which would have been a serious budget buster for us--and kept us up to date on ferry cancellations and schedules via email. The home also has all the info you need in little notes and signs plus the 'book about the house'. Best part for an OCD grandma: the kitchen cabinets are all labelled making it easy to find everything (and there's a lot to find!) and to get things back where they belong. Lots of comfortable safe to play, relax, eat and sleep. Best vacation rental ever!

      Great place for 2 families

Left on 04/01/2013 for a stay in March 2013

We had a wonderful weekend with 2 families in this very cozy cottage - there were plenty of beds for our group of 8, lots of fun family history inside and its location was very convenient for exploring avalon. Catalina Vacation Rentals was also very helpful and accomodating. By the way, the highlight of our trip was our 3 hour Jeep Eco-Tour with the Catalina Conservancy if you're looking for a fun activity.

      Great house.

Left on 06/30/2011 for a stay in June 2011

The house is very well maintained, spacious for Catalina, well appointed. the bedrooms are comfortable and for Scuba divers, there is adequate space for washing and hanging dive gear. The BBQ on the patio was a welcome addition.

As good as I've experienced on Catalina island. A little far up, but not to bad. Plenty of room and a great side yard with plenty of privacy.

      Nice But Noisy

Left on 07/30/2010 for a stay in June 2010

Avalon is being polluted by gas-driven golf carts. Corner location of house seemed extra noisy. Otherwise, house is a beauty.

      Extraordinary Beach House

Left on 07/30/2010 for a stay in July 2010

My husband and I took our two grown children, their spouses and our two grandchildren for a one-week vacation at this 4-bedroom home. The options for sleeping made it ideal for our group. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything needed for cooking. We had one appliance malfunction and had a repairman out. He was there within 15 minutes of our call to the office. Very pleased with the comfortable, relaxed home and the Catalina Vacation Rentals.

It was the best. Not one thing to complain about. Very well provided for from
hats to keep the sun off your head to every cooking utensil known to man. Felt
like we'd lived there for years. Would rent it again without hesitation.

Lovely spacious home, unfortunately it is located on a very busy corner so traffic during "rush hour" is very noisy. If you are looking for quiet this is not the place. It has a lovely porch and patio area and the gardens are gorgeous. The house is centrally located and is within walking distance of town, the golf course and the botanical gardens. Overall really enjoyed the house.

Cozy house - Great for groups

Left on 04/30/2009 for a stay in April 2009

I rented this house with a group of friends that came to the island for
a wedding. Great location on top of the hill and the kitchen was
fantastic for cooking! It had everything you would want to have a nice
relaxing party. The patio with the grill was also a nice because it was
enclosed with a fence made a beautiful flowers. Fun times!

      Great family home

Left on 02/05/2009 for a stay in August 2007

I rented this house for a week for my 40th and invited friends from
near and far. It was perfect for a big group, and we loved being able
to stock the kitchen with groceries and save on meals! The patio
was very nice for evening cocktails; the only bummer about it was
that it's on the golf cart rental company's scenic tour route, and
those gas carts can be LOUD zipping past all day long! The house
was very clean, except for the carpeting which has seen many
summers of sandy feet. We especially loved the HUGE bathtub
downstairs and the outdoor shower, which was very private and
roomy. I used it every morning and was never too cold. The walls
are crammed with family memorabilia so you really get a feeling for
the many summers and great times the owners have had there. The
giant cut-outs of mom and dad in the hall spooked me a couple of
times though! One night we walked up the canyon to the Country
Club for dinner (the most elegant place in Avalon), and were able to
catch the trolley just outside our door. All in all, a lovely stay.

      Great for a large family

Left on 01/21/2009 for a stay in November 2008

It was perfect for a family birthday reunion. We had 4 generations
from 6 to 101. The downstairs bedroom was great for my mom with a
      nice bath.
Upstairs there were three bedrooms, but only one bath with access
through two of the bedrooms. The shower was good, but the
downstairs one was great, it was actually outside the bathroom, but
covered completely and very large. You could use it when you came
in from the beach, so did not track in any sand.
The kitchen was large and had everything we needed, though we
rarely cooked. It was very convenient to town, 2 blocks.
      Everyone enjoyed themselves.

      Perfect Jazz Weekend

Left on 01/08/2009 for a stay in October 2008

It was another great weekend in Catalina. We attend the Jazz Festival every year and have stayed in Catalina Island Vacation Rentals for the past 6 years. This was the second year we stayed in the 359 Catalina house. The first year was so good, we booked this house again for the second time. I would recommend this property for family stays, or as we do, gather a great group of friends and enjoy the Jazztrax weekend. I love the fact that we can cook at the house rather than eat out and the kitchen has everything you need.

I would not only recommend this house, but the great service offered by Catalina Island Vacation Rentals also makes it well worth the stay.
