The condo number a11 at Bahia Vista was very nice and clean, it was nice to be by the pool and stay downstairs. The downsides were the bed in the second room was very uncomfortable, and the bedroom next to the street was very noisy at night with people walking down the street. Cvr was very helpful and friendly with my reservations. I would stay in the same Condo Complex, but a different unit that wasn't by the street so it would not be as noisy. Maybe another unit would have a more comfortable bed.

I normally do not write reviews but now that I am a mother of 3 year old twins I feel more compelled to write my experiences. Let me first say my family and I have been coming to Catalina for years, like 40 years, maybe longer. Over this time I would say the last 15 years or so we have stayed either at Bahia Vista or Hamilton Cove. We were in Catalina for the 4th of July, we stayed for one week. This year we stayed at Bahia Vista becasue of it's location to downtown with the kids. Our experience with Civr was great. But, our condo, A11, was not. Upon arrival our condo was not clean as it should have been. Within an hour of unpacking and settling all our feet were black from the floor. There was a fruit basket on top of the fridge that had old black deflated bananas that were filled with fruit flys and maggots. One of the kitchen chairs were broken but still usable and the refrigirator leaked. There was a puddle of water on the floor every morning. A lot of the outlets in the master bedroom did not work and the master bath outlet would not hold my plug in it, it kept falling out. The master bedroom has a brass headboard that is not the same size of the bed and seems to be drilled into some wood. The kitchen is very poorly stocked with normal everyday amenities and the pots and pans are very old and caroded.A lot of the dishes in the cabinet were dirty and sticky. I did call Civr to let them know about a few things and they apologized and sent a cleaning crew over right away. Being a landlord of a vacation home myself I was very suprised of the poor upkeep of this unit. All and all my family and I had a wonderful time on the island but we will definately rule out a11 for any future stays. Read more

The website describes the condo well and the pictures are accurate. Also, This spacious condo is in a good location, right by the pool. But, there is nowhere to hang wet pool towels.
The front stairs made accessing the unit with a stroller difficult.
The heat and lack of a/c made sleeping upstairs at night miserable and almost impossible. Not recommended for a hot week's stay.
The kitchen is o.k., but if you're a cook you should at least bring your own knives. For small children, bring non-breakable plates/cups.
The only really miserable part of this condo was the neighbors. People - including small children were awake partying loudly in the street until 4 a.m. on Friday evening. The lack of insulation, and lack of a/c made the heat and the noise a terrible combination. Not recommended for weekend stays.

We had a great time. The pool rules were a little too tight. The pull out sofa bed was in poor condition and broken at the bottom.

The place was ok but there was some problems. The dining room light didn't work, there weren't enough pots to cook on and the pot's that were there were very old. Everything seemed very cheap. The owner should invest in some paint, better lighting and update flooring for the unit. Read more

You'll be happy to know that the owner has done some major improvements. Paint, electrical, flat screen TV's, and many other upgrades.
Thanks for your comments and we hope to see you again.
