We had a wonderful time, and the weather was great and we were very private in this Villa. Large deck, awesome view, and had lots of fun at the "Sand Trap" for happy hour. The only thing is that the stove is old and needs replacing or new burners? And the steak and cutting knives did not cut well at all! We did a lot of cooking! The beds were comfortable and furnishings too, also nice big dining room table! Thanks for a great time in paradise, The arnetts.

Villa 11-49, where we have stayed several times, is now wired for WiFi and the usual ocean sounds from both bedrooms remain our favorite aspect. The new shower heads are great. A TV in the Master Bedroom would be nice.
Golf cart has had some work done on it as well. Will be back in ?Dec 2012 for the Wwii Exhibit in the Museum and again for Jazz Trax in 2013. Doug Hudson, Austin, TX

Left on 10/04/2012 for a stay in September 2012
Pest Contoller immediatly blamed the stray cats @ the beach, although he never checked the bed for bed bugs, until I asked him to when the General Manager showed up, Pest Controller asked him to move us to another room so he can spray the entire place and the Manager refused. On our way out we saw the Pest Controller going into other condos to spray. The front door lock was broken & no one ever repaired it & they couldn't find the key to the other main entrance, so that we could at least lock up half the suite!!

The condo was great and easy to get keys and access. Loved having laundry facilities and a grill in the condo. Loved watching Ca sea lions and dolphins swim past our balcony! Avalon was great for our relaxing get away with shopping, great restaurants, and semi sub tour. Our teenage son enjoyed zip lining, rock climbing and tennis. Did not care for the golf cart experience to get gas. We took the instructed high hills to get to the gas pump, but followed locals on the low road to return, even though there were signs warning of falling rocks. Wish we were told of the option to begin with or given an option to have someone else fill it up for us.

I loved this unit. I am a regular vacationer to the island and I always stay at Hamilton Cove and this unit was by far the best one for the view! I loved it! Although the only thing I would recommend is supplying a few more blankets. There was only one blanket for the sofa bed and no other blankets to be found :( It gets chilly at night and that one small/thin blanket was not enough.
Other than that we loved our stay at this unit. It was comfortable and inviting and really...the best view. We will stay here again for sure! -

Left on 09/21/2011 for a stay in September 2011
We having been working all year long and weekends while excellent are filled with family visits and weekend house projects. We live in San Diego which is also wonderful. However, sometimes one just needs to go to a destination that is free from phones work and responsibilities. We escaped on Catalina Express out of Dana Point, the transport to "another great stay" only took 1 hour and 15 minutes. Walked with rolling luggage for a few minutes picked up keys at Catalina Vacation Rentals @ their offices, met a representative who was excellent at giving us directions for a
fun stay. Took a cab to Hampton Cove and passing the Descanso beach club we knew we had hit a home run. Thanked the courteous driver who gave us his card and said call me if you need any restaurant recommendations, opened the front door of condo at Hamilton Cove and knew we hit another home run. What a great view, clean , furnishing perfect. We had a great time Would highly recommend calling Catalina vacations rentals to organize your trip to Catalina. Thanks alan , Margi, Sue , Jay -

Everything great as usual. Have stayed at Hamilton Cove and rented through Catalina Island Vacation Rentals, Inc. for many years. Only problem this year was that the golf cart with the unit has very shaky brakes. Need to nearly stand on the brakes to get it to slow down. A safety hazard and accident waiting to happen.

I've stayed in several condos at Hamilton Cove and this one was by far the best so far. The furnishings were comfortable and modern; we don't like wicker furniture and whimsical beach decor. The view from the patio was top notch and we only regret not having sun on the patio in the afternoon.

This was our first stay at Hamilton Cove. We had visited Catalina and stayed at other locations (closer to town). This experience was very very nice. The service we received was awesome. We thought the amenities were very clean and all was accessible. The golf cart was a great extra.
We liked the ability to go to the cove and basically "get away" from the hussle and bussle to such a beautiful oasis. Having a villa on the Water was so incredible and we would highly recommend Hamilton cove and this specific villa to our very good friends and family. thank You very much and we look forward to coming back soon. -

Palm Desert, CA11-49 is a very good place
Left on 03/25/2010 for a stay in March 2010
The size and location of the unit is outstanding. We had the following complaints/issues:
1. The bed/mattress in the smaller bed room is very unconfortable..it needs replacing.
2. The kitchen is stocked with very little in utensils.
3. The golf cart for this unit should have been replaced long ago. It needs tires, a new or rebuilt engine.
4. The carpets in the living room area are a disgrace and a tripping hazard. -

Unit 11-49 was really great. i havae stayed at Hamilton cove 4 times prior to this and unit 11-49 was by far the best equipped property we have been to. A cooks kitchen, beautifully furnished and views to die for. The bathrooms are huge and towels and linen plentiful. Truly a great experience.

This unit is beautiful. Excellent location. Great layout.
Things I would change.
1. The toilets in both bathrooms didn't flush properly. I had to lift the tank
lid to keep toilet from running.
2. Small television. We like to watch dvds at night.
3. Plastic cups. Not my favorite.
All that being said, it was wonderful. I love Catalina and we think Hamilton
Cove is THE PLACE to stay. -

Left on 01/02/2009 for a stay in April 2007
My husband and I wanted our daughter's first visit to Catalina Island to be a special vacation that she would always remember. We have stayed at the Hamilton Cove Condo's before, and have always enjoyed our visits. This time however, we were looking for a 2 bedrooms & the living room with ocean views. We found that unit 11-49 offered what we were looking for, and it was beautiful! Our daughter loved watching the dolphins from the patio deck every morning. Now, she keeps asking when can we go back again. I would high recommend this unit to anyone considering visiting Catalina Island.
