The unit delivered everything promised including a magnificent view. Stunning to wake up to, beautiful to toast champagne at happy hour, and bordering on spiritual as evening falls and the moon dances over the pacific. You get what you pay for and this is worth paying for. Treat yourself! Enjoy!

Rental company easy to work with. Check-in and check-out was very convenient. Unit was ready when we arrived. Unit was clean and nicely decorated. Nice view. Convenient location. Great supply of games and sports equipment included (tennis balls and racquets, crouquet set and golf balls and putter). Negatives: no wireless internet, mediocre TV in master bedroom and window treatments that don't keep the sun out in the morning. Have rented this unit a couple of times and have been very satisfied.

Lakewood CA11-54 ... Wow!!!
Left on 06/27/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We have stayed at 11-54 for 6 summer stays with our family of 6. We all love it! It's a bit quieter than the other spots we have stayed at in Hamilton Cove. It's right on the waters edge. You can hear the water wash over the pebbles and the sand. Sooo peaceful. Not to many golf carts drive by that spot. When the casino has fireworks you can see all that right from the balcony too!! This spot is perfect if you want to relax with the perfect view. Plenty of toys and games for the kids too. Nicely decorated as well. Thank you for all of our wonderful vacations!

From the moment you enter this nicely maintained 2bed/2 bath unit you are aware of the light and the ocean. Clean and comfortable, there was nothing wrong with this unit during my 4 night stay. Everything from the quiet, the views, the grounds, and the golf cart were perfect! I will rent this unit again.

Our unit had the perfect view. The sofa was dated.
I would love to have had a screen on the patio door. I wanted to open the door in the evening but the moths would fly in so we had to shut the door.
Very convenient location. Great place to vacation.
I would return for another vacation.

Hamilton Cove condos are significantly better than psychological treatments. And less expensive.
We love staying in the rented condos for a few days. It cleans the sole. -

Loved that there was a great view of the beach from the balcony but that we were just far enough away from the boardwalk so it was quiet and private. The unit was fantastic and wonderful that it came with a golf car.

My wife and I picked this condo to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. This place is great! We were concerned that the deck would not be wide enough, but were pleasantly surprised by how much space was out there. Four people can easily sit at the round table. The unit is right above the water. Simply amazing.

The service we received from CIVR was great. Not much needed when we arrived. They had everything ready and we were in and out in a jiffy. Shortly before we left, my wife had plugged my i-phone in for a qucik charge and forgot to grab it on the way out. I discovered this at the ferry terminal in Catalina and called CIVR. They called me back within the hour and told me the phone would go out in the mail that afternoon. I was thrilled to find it in my mailbox the very next day - that was great service!
The unit 11-54 is awesome as it backs up to the water with a nice balcony to hang out on and watch the sea lions playing in the water throughout the day. The condo had everything we needed and was comfortable neat and clean.
The location allows you to get away from everyone in town without being too far away. The pool and spa were nice and we rented paddle boards just over the hill in Descanso beach. I also jumped in at the beach access for a quick snorkel. The water was quite cold, even with a full suit, but the fish did not disappoint. Also liked the putting course but thought it could have been mowed down much closer. It was pretty rough and bumpy for putting.
Parking for the golf cart is manageable but a bit tight. Nice to have the cart though.
Mostly we loved the unit and the location. Very nice and relaxing. -

La Quinta, CAA Great Weekend Getaway!
Left on 10/08/2009 for a stay in October 2009
From the moment we picked up the keys, to the day we dropped them off, we were totally impressed with everything about Hamilton Cove 1-54 and Catalina Island Vacation Rentals. The home had everything we needed to make our stay very enjoyable. The location, right on the water, was a 10! We sat out on the patio a majority of the time as the views were exceptional. One morning I even got up early to watch the sun come up! The location was the best and the shower head in the master was my least favorite!

We have been coming to Hamilton Cove almost every year now for the past 10 years. We have stayed in many different condos. This one is one of our favorites. This is the 2nd time we have rented this particular condo. We love the location, right over the water. Not to many steps. And the condo is very comfortable and nicely decorated. My wife likes it and she is very picky. We prefer using Catalina Island Vacation Rentals because of the service. They try to get us in as soon as they can when we check in. My wife accidently took the golf cart key last time when she walked into town. I was supposed to meet up with her and her sister. I had the kids. One of the guys from the office made a trip out to bring me an extra key. Super nice people! It's so peaceful and relaxing. Can't wait to make another trip.

Left on 07/02/2009 for a stay in June 2009
Catalina is pretty, but really no prettier than mainland CA. It's way too touristy for my taste. For $500+ per night (paid in full 60 days in advance), I expect complimentary transportation from harbor to condo and back. At reservation time was told cab would be $3-4. Not! Try $20 for a 3-4 minute ride (another $20 back to harbor). Also don't expect to pay a $100+ cleaning fee for a 2-night stay, but you will. And then you have to wash the dishes and put them away! Apparently previous renters took umbrage as well and simply put dirty unwashed dishes back in the cupboard - not pleasant! Golf cart thing loses its schtick quickly, and they don't tell you when booking that it is almost an hour round-trip on rough road to meet requirement of filling gas tank at close to $5 per gallon. Nevermind that the tank was only half-full when we got there. Too much paperwork and contracts for a simple 2-day stay. Nice unit but I wouldn't recommend or go back because of above issues. Catalina Island might be good for a day trip, but one's life would be complete without. Stay on the mainland.

Left on 01/13/2009 for a stay in October 2008
We stayed in the condo next door to 11-54 for prior two years and were jealous of the occupants of 11-54. Finally we were able to rent it for the 2008 Jazztrax weekend festival in October. The place is fabulous: view, location, furnishings, ameneties were all top of the line.
We have booked this AGAIN for 2009. -

This place is located in Hamilton Cove. You are far away from town here and a golf cart is a must. This unit is right at the water with a beautiful view. Other than that, I would not recommend staying here. The place badly needs updating and the carpet was filthy. For the amount charged it was unacceptable.

Our family has stayed in Avalon on every trip that we have taken to Catalina, we have been to Catalina 4 times in the last 5 years and many times before that. Last year in September (2007) we found a Condo in Hamilton cove, I always wanted to stay in Hamilton Cove but never had the chance. We booked it, but we did not really think about all the stairs that we had to walk up. Turns out we had 82 stairs to climb. We loved Hamilton Cove but we did not like all the steps. This year my wife went on line and found this condo 11-54. The minute we walked in we fell in love with this condo. The whole family loved it, our boys who are 21, 18, and their friends spent most of the time at Hamilton Cove, swimming, fishing, playing tennis, and relaxing. The view was great, we spent more time at the Condo on the patio, then we did in Avalon. Before we knew it our vacation was over, we did not want to leave. When we go back to Avalon we will book this Condo again, it is number one on our list.

Once Again Hamilton Cove Does it. You cannot beat the gorgeous views from any of these town houses, but from the 11 building! Phenominal! The waves put me to sleep every night. And the villa was very spacious, wonderfully decorated, and awesome amenities. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and will visit again very soon!

Left on 12/18/2008 for a stay in August 2007
We have been renting villa 11-54 for many years. Wecome every year in August and stay for 10 days. Then last year I decided that the nighly rental fee was just not worth it.
Last year between the nightly villa rent, food and dining out we spent about $13,000.00 and we were only 26 miles from home !!! This year we went to Fiji instead.
If and when the nightly rent becomes more reasonable we will return, but not until that happens. I will say, the villa itself is beautiful, Denny and the staff are always awesome and we did miss coming to Hamilton Cove this year but until they get more realistic with the rents we're out.. -
