Perfect for a weekend at the beach. The best decor...Really nice interior. I left an Eco log for the fireplace. I hope they stock it next time.

Huntington Beach, CAExcellent experience
Left on 08/17/2011 for a stay in August 2011
The condo was terrific; we felt right at home. I did feel that the check-out time was too early, especially since we had to dedicate alomost an hour to the process of refueling the golf cart. Problem associated with workers at the adjacent unit were well handled by rental management. We will be back.

CypressWe love Hamilton Cove and this condo was beautiful.
Left on 04/03/2011 for a stay in March 2011
We have stayed at many units of Hamilton Cove and this was the first time for this particular unit. It was beautifully decorated, good view, golf cart was excellent (especially because it had a cover with zippers to keep the wind out) and we liked the fact that it only had 15 stairs. The boats were cancelled the day we were to come home so we stayed another night and half price and that was fair.
We plan to go back to Hamilton Cove many times in the future and we will certainly consider going back to 8-95 even though we have been so happy with all of the units we have been to in the past. We love having our own golf cart for our stay and always jot around alot to town and to the Casino for a movie. We love going to Catalina!!!

Checking into 8-95 was heavenly. It was extremely hard to leave and even harder to believe that you are less than an hour away from Los Angeles.
The best and most simple way that I can describe the views from this property was "It seems as if you are floating on water" -

Wichita, KansasBeautiful location and view, but expected more for the money.
Left on 10/26/2009 for a stay in October 2009
The service was great as always. I was a little disappointed with the home though. We've always stayed at Hamilton Cove during Jazz Trax, and some of the other properties which were larger, cost less money per night. I was expecting something more from this villa since it was so expensive. The bed was very uncomfortable, and the linens were not very clean. There were a lot of little things that were broken, (racks in the fridge, clothing bar in the closet, and we had to wash every dish and glass before using, we also had to purchase our own kleenex as there were none in the property). The home was decorated really nice and the view was wonderful. I always like staying at Hamilton Cove when we come to Catalina, but I would probably not stay in this villa again.

SoCalGolf Cart Not Usable
Left on 03/25/2009 for a stay in March 2009
The only complaint was that the golf cart did not have a cover. In rainy, windy and cold conditions that we had, this meant no comfortable trips to town. It was the same as if we did not have a cart at all. Took a taxi into town for Saturday night dinner at the Country Club. I'd like an adjustment in the charges but doubt I will get one. I was told a cover was being made but that didn't help us.

Dear Judgejw from SoCal
Thank you for your response. Just to clarify you actually stayed at Villa 9-62. Not all of the golf carts have side curtains on them. This owner recently purchased the cart and it takes time to have side curtains made. We have pictures on our website of all the golf carts and if they have side curtains the picture will show that. I will follow up with you via a phone call to further discuss.
Thanks

Minot, NDGreat Rental - Beautiful Condo for a couple
Left on 01/08/2009 for a stay in August 2008
I've been a long time visitor to Catalina Island going back to when
we lived in Los Angeles. My wife and I met on the Island, and since
it was our 10th Anniversary, we decided to go all out. We normally
stay with friends, or at one of the hotels that cater to divers. We
looked in to Hamilton Cove, and decided that it would be our best
option with the golf cart, and basically having a "home" instead of a
hotel.
To be perfectly honest, the pictures of the condo did not do it
justice. It was way more beautiful than what we saw online. It was
decorated perfectly, and the furniture was very, very comfortable.
The kitchen was well stocked with all manner of appliances,
cookware, etc. Having a washer and dryer was nice, because it
meant we didn't have to pack heavily, and as we spent most of the
time underwater, it was nice to have a spacious balcony area to put
our gear at the end of the day. The golf cart was in good condition,
and it was really nice having it at our disposal. The one bad thing
about the cart was that it had a speed governor (or a really tiny
engine), and we had lots of people behind us going up the big hill
to the main gate of HC get a little perturbed with how slow we were
going. But hey, it sure beat walking with a bunch of SCUBA gear!
If there was one drawback to the experience, it was that the grill
was in very poor shape. I had stopped at our favorite LA butcher
and brought some very good cuts of meat over with us so we could
have friends over to "our " place for once to grill for them. The grill
basically ruined the meat because it was in such poor shape. I
know it's picky, but it was the ONLY disappointing thing about the
trip.
To be honest, the folks at Catalina Island Vacations could be a little
bit nicer in the way they treat customers who are putting out
arguably the most money for a place to stay on the island, but they weren't horrible. Not rude or anything - just felt a little like we
were more of a bother to them than they wanted to deal with when
we showed up to check in, and when we checked out.
Anyway, if you're looking for a fantastic 1 BR condo with a drop
dead gorgeous view and lovely decor, I would highly recommend
Unit 8-95 at Hamilton Cove. -

Templeton, CAA Relaxing Weekend
Left on 12/20/2008 for a stay in June 2008
My wife and I took this trip for our 10th anniversary. Our honeymoon included a stay on Catalina, so it was nice to return for a visit 10 years later.
This unit was very clean, has great views and is reasonably priced. The golf cart that was provided was in very good shape. Unless you want to use a credit card for phone calls on the in-house phone, you should plan to use a cell phone. However, if you're a Verizon customer (like me), your phone will only work for text messages, but not for voice calls because of poor reception. There is good wireless Internet, so I used my VoIP service instead.
There were some minor issues, such as some window blinds that could be upgraded, a broken window crank, and it could probably use some new carpet. My hat's off to anyone who owns a condo like this one and has the courage to rent it to total strangers. A stain on the carpet was evidence that some past guest was not so careful.
We love visiting Catalina Island and we would definitely stay here again. -

Very charming and quiant. Supurb view and adequately stocked with Ktichen/dinner ware. Only recommendation would be to have closet space for guest to hang their clothing, I am 4'11" and could not reach the ceiling of the Laundry room, so I had to lay my clothes out on the chairs.
