MAS MITJAVILA is a large mountain farmhouse over 1,000 years old, situated at a height of 1,350m within the protected “Serra Cavallera” area in the Catalan Pyrenees. The house has been completely restored with recycled building materials, while retaining its original structure. Mas Mitjavila is located in a hamlet with a population of 17 inhabitants, surrounded by forest and pastures, only 80km from Girona-Costa Brava Airport and 120km from the Barcelona Airport.
We invite you to come and share our traditional natural lifestyle in this beautiful area, which is ideal for walking, hiking and mountain biking.

HOW TO GET
From Barcelona :
Take the C17 to Ripoll, then the C26 as far as Sant Joan de les Abadesses. As you come in to the town, take the left turn for Ogassa immediately before the bridge. At Ogassa, follow the signs for Sant Martà d’Ogassa. Mas Mitjavila is the first house on the left after the little Romanesque church.
From Girona airport: Follow the road signs to Vic / Ripoll and then at Vic take the C17 to Ripoll. Then take the C26 as far as Sant Joan de les Abadesses. As you come in to the town, take the left turn for Ogassa immediately before the bridge. At Ogassa, follow the signs for Sant Martà d’Ogassa. Mas Mitjavila is the first house on the left after the little Romanesque church.

We stayed with Beatrice and Carlos (and Clarisa the donkey!) for three nights during our honeymoon. We were the only guests for two of the nights, and received warm hospitality that was just the right combination of socializing with independence. Carlos's kitchen and the garden are just a dream come true for food history enthusiasts like us, and we had some of the most divine lamb, vegetables, and wine that we have ever eaten. Beatrice took us to a classical music concert in Ripoll one evening that was a great experience, and really kind of her, and Carlos gave us some ratafia making tips that we are finally getting to try out! We recommend this place to anyone, but be warned...it gets cold, even in July, though they are always kind enough to loan sweaters!

We came to Bea with 6 kids and two small babies, we didn't know what to expect. I can't describe our joy when we saw where we arrived to.
The house was absolutely lovely: the rooms and dining room where fully equipped with everything we needed. If we missed anything Bea found the perfect solution to it.
The views from the rooms and the place itself is suntanning. We enjoyed every minute. Very recommended. -

Wij komen al vele jaren naar Mas Mitjavila in Sant Marti d`Ogassa provincie Girona,een ideale plaats om tot rust te komen. De locatie, huisvesting en het eten zijn uitstekend,je voelt je er direct thuis. De omgeving is heel mooi en rustig met vele mogelijkheden voor excursies in de naaste omgeving.

Un bon lloc per a un grup nombrĂłs amb nens. L'entorn, la casa, el menjar... tot Ă©s com viure en un altre temps. La desconnexiĂł i el relax sĂłn totals. Comoditat i llibertat enmig d'un entorn natural inigualable. Tot plegat, dĂfĂcil de trobar.

I went to Mas Mitjavila in September 2010 with my partner during a tour around Spain and it was absolutely magical. In the morning, when the sun rises and goes to sleep at evening, it is like being in a dream. The view is so beautiful!
And the food... Everything is home made and fresh and delicious. I miss it so much!
The owners are extremely friendly and professional and it feels like being home.
The rooms are beautiful, colorful and comfortable. My partner loves walking and he enjoyed the location very much. I love to relax and I really had time to relax and to restore from the stress of the city life.
We will absolutely come back, hopefully very soon. -
