The Lackawack Hill House is a recently renovated private house located within the Catskill State Park. A cook's kitchen and spacious deck sourrounded by mountain tops, provide a private, relaxed setting for your vacation or weekend retreat.

Located on a quiet county lane in the Catskill Park, this house is a perfect getaway, just two hours north from the GW bridge. Our beautiful modern country house features a cook's kitchen with dual oven, wok ring burner, open floor plan, 12 person dining table and piano make this a weekend or weeklong getaway. The house also includes an above ground pool (does it really matter if it's above ground - it's a pool!), features a large cleared yard on two acres populated with apple trees (you can pick it) and a swing set for kids and adults. Just down the road is an organic farm - pick some farm fresh vegetables and enjoy your delcious meal on the deck. There is a also an outdoor woodburning fireplace - great way to stay warm in the evenings while marvelling at the gazillion stars in the sky. Don't forget the hot chocolate.
A varity of winter activities are close by including cross country ski trails, ice climbing and skiing in Belleayre, Hunter and Windham are about 45 mins away. In the summer, lounge poolside all day, enjoy a leisurely stroll around the property, or enjoy one of the many hiking trails or Parks/Preserves including Sam's Point Preserve (20 mins), Minnewaska State Park (20 mins), Mohonk Mountain Preserve (25 mins). Many of the trails are old carriage trails so great for hiking with kids. One hour from Woodbury for outlet shopping and 45 minutes to Middletown or Kingston for malls. Fantastic culinary treats in Kerhonkson and Stoneridge are about 20 minutes away. The Shawungunk Wine Trail is just 20 mins away.

We had a great time at this house. Lots of room and a great porch and pool combo. Great kitchen and lots of yard to run around and explore. The kids really liked the apple tress on the property and it was an easy drive from NYC. Fun farm stands and orchards in the area to check out.

We rented the house for 7 days and had a great time. We loved the kitchen and pool. Plenty of room for the grandkids to run around in the yard. We went on long walks and enjoyed to hot days and cool nights.
