The several cottages are new, well appointed, and just far enough off the highway to be quiet. We could see the Gulf of St Lawrence from our front window. The accommodations contain everything needed. We showed up with only clothes and food. We used all the kitchen appliances and gas grill on the front deck. We also used the play areas, swimming pool and hot tub. There is an exercise room and game room that we didn't even get to (but they look great). The staff bends over backwards to assure all guests of a memorable vacation. They offer many suggestions for activities, recommend travel routes and will set up a tour package of anything that interests your family. The property is located just off Route 6 / Cavendish Road, and is close to the "Anne of Green Gables" Attractions.

We rented an executive 2 bedroom cottage this weekend with another couple and were very impressed with everything. The cottage was beautiful and immaculate. The grounds were well taken care of and the pool and hot tub area were very nice. We all fell in love with the place. We are already planning another trip in the Fall! Heather and her staff are very friendly and helplful. Thanks for a wonderful mini vacation :)

We rented an executive 2 bedroom cottage which was perfect for our 3 teens, and the two of us. The location is great, near the "Boardwalk", where you will find the touristic shops of Cavendish, near grocery stores, and mostly near the entrance of beautiful Cavendish National Park, with beaches, and bike trails, etc. The cottage itself was in good shape, clean,
with a kitchen that could use a bit more cooking ware if you like to be just like home, but still it has the basics. We enjoyed the peacefulness, the other cottages are at a good distance, the kids had room to fly a kite in the yard, the pool is good, and the bonfire spot really neat.
This cottage has wi-fi free access.
Heather has been really helpful, taking care of our needs, very available.

We appreciate all suggestions passed along to us to assist in making it more enjoyable for everyone. Please feel free to send me an email with some suggestions on cooking ware that would have made it feel more like home. At the office we provide extra's like muffin tins, blenders, electric mixers, large pots for shellfish cooking along with outdoor burners. We love to keep things updated with fresh ideas.

We stayed at Swept away Cottages three years in a row, 07-09, and every year seemed to get better. The cottages are exceptionally clean, well supplied and situated on a property that lends itself to fun, relaxing family vacations. Proximity to Cavendish activities, and so many other PEI activities in the surrounding countryside make this site ideal for families with a mix of interests. For the golfers, Heather sets you up without any hassles for tee times and at discount rates, with four super courses within 10 minutes of the cottages. All in all, beaches, water parks, amusements, golf and just plain good old family relaxing fun at the cottage, pool and yard make Swept away Cottages a super family get-away!

We loved swept away the first time we stayed.
We returned for a second time last summer only to find it was even better. A new exercise room, pool deck, play room , swings, Jacuzzi and fire pit had been added to the resort type setting. Check in was quick ,easy and organized. Heather gave us reliable tips on where to get the best lobster dinners . When we opened the front door to our three bedroom cottage it immediately felt like home. The three bedroom executive cottage was immaculate and well equipped. The oversized BBQ is a treat to cook on. The friendly staff picked up garbage and towels daily. Anything we needed was accommodated with a professional do it now attitude. The Cavendish area is great. Plenty of good eating places and lots of touristy things to do. At night the cottage area was quiet enough to hear the coyotes howling of in the distance. The Island is GPS friendly. It was so easy to get from one end of the island to the other. These cottages are not water front, but the ocean is a ten minute walk through a field. Just far enough to not have to worry about kids wondering off to any kind of danger. Swept away is the only place we would consider staying when we return to the Island.

Swept away Cottages is a wonderful retreat we escape to every year. Our two older children talk about going back next summer almost as soon as we pull away, and I can't wait until we get to see our 14 month old (now) have so much fun running through the open green area towards the playground this summer to play with her older sister and brother. The pool is kept meticulously, along with the hottub. You can see Heather every morning cleaning both :) Heather is the owner and she is amazing! She caters to our every need. The help we got from her to have our wedding on her property was fabulous! She suggested ceremony sites, picture sites -- went completely above and beyond! We had friends and family rent there and all were thrilled! The friends also had children and stayed in a 2 storey executive cottage and plan to return with us this summer, they loved the conveinence the closeness to the attractions for the children. My father also stayed and they were thrilled that great restaurants and golfing were close by and the 1 bedroom jacuzzi cottage was absolutely wonderful! The bed was especially comfy! We have stayed in both the 2 bedroom cottages and the executive 2 bedroom and they are both well worth the money. We can't say enough about our experience at Swept away Cottages ... the main thing is we plan to go back every year, it is a tradition with our family and Heather & Swept away are now apart of our life ... we have already booked for 2011! Don't miss out!!!

We have stayed here at Swept away Cottages for a number of years and we continue to go back. The cottages are clean and beautiful and it makes for a very relaxing weekend. We loved this cottage! It was clean and beautiful. It had so many options for the kids that even if we weren't directly in the middle of everything in Cavendish, they still would have loved it. They loved getting up in the morning and playing with the sports equipment or playing on the swings etc. We had a great time!
