Located on the preferred east beach, just south of the airstrip, here on Caye Caulker, a small island located approx 35 miles northeast of Belize City, Beachside Cottage appeals to those wanting some seclusion and quiet.
The cottage, now a studio type dwelling, underwent a major renovation in October of 2012. The entire structure has been raised above ground level approx 10 feet in order to catch more of the ocean breeze coming across the Great Barrier Reef of the Americas. A terrific deck on which to relax provides a terrific view of the Caribbean Sea.

Located on the east beach of Caye Caulker approx 1/2 mile south of the village, in a small enclave of 3 homes. The setting is beach/garden rural, with the cottage raised above ground to catch the easterly trade winds as they come across the reef. Complimentary bikes make the trip to the village an easy 15 minute ride for groceries, dinner or a cold beverage at one of the local establishments.

Beachside Cottage is a great little get-a-way. We stayed for six days that were the most relaxing days we have ever had. Service was great. We were met at the airport, transported to the water taxi then met by a taxi on Caye Caulker. Kim at Caye Caulker Rentals was perfect. He checked us in at the office and provided direction on activities we were interested in. The taxi(limo golf cart) ride to Beachside Cottage was a good way to see the main streets and our driver was home-grown and proud. The owners of the Cottage are awesome. They only interacted with us as we wanted. Conversations were great. They are very knowledgeable about the Caye and beyond.
We are going to make this an annual trip!!! -

this is a supremely beautiful location on caye caulker. I loved being a few minutes walk away from the main concentration of resorts. Having your own pier to swim from is quite a treat. The house itself feels very new and was very clean. the management company was incredibly helpful with everything we needed, from advice on restaurants and tips on how to get around on the island, to assistance booking tours and excursions anywhere in the country. We are booking another visit as soon as we can! I feel very lucky that I chose to stay here on my first visit to Belize, and having stayed in a few other places in the country, I'd rate this beachfront studio cottage at the top of my list! I'd stay there again in a heartbeat!

We've been coming to this location for a few years now and were stunned by the beautiful remodel Beachside Cottage received. The owners, though nearby, are super-pleasant and helpful. The location is south of the airport but the planes were never an annoyance for us.
The cabin is well appointed and very comfortable. We like that it is up and in the breeze and offers wonderful views of the sea. The cabin rental included bicycles when we stayed there.
Swimming and snorkeling from the dock is so nice, with a variety of fish and other sea-life.
We've used Caye Caulker Rentals a number of times and they are always so helpful and professional. Communication is timely and accurate and Kim is terrific to work with.
We really enjoy our vacations at Beachside Cottage. The setting, the facility, the management, and the neighbors are all perfect for us. We've never been surprised and it's so easy to comfortably slip into the relaxed Caye Caulker pace. -

The very North of the Island about one mile walk to town. Clean, nice complete kitchen, free wi-fi and deck. Bicycles provided. We found this rental to be just what the doctor ordered. Private dock out front and friendly owners live next door. We bought fish off the dock and grilled it our first night. Caye Caulker meets you at the airport or water taxi and will happily take care of any needs. Enjoyed our taxi driver Peter and felt this was a super value.

When we asked for towels, the owner/manager Kim told us "We got your money already!" He meant it as a joke, but...We stayed one week. The house was very nice, but extremely close to the owners and another house. Our 1 and only maid service visit happened the day after we got there, and they wouldn't even give us dry towels after that. Caye Caulker was great, but we would not spring for the expense of this house again. We stayed a 2nd week at the ankorage Resort down the beach. It was cheaper and we actually felt welcome there!

Hello Renee, It is unfortunate that your stay at Beachside was not what you wished. Regarding the maid service, it is very possible that it was incorrectly scheduled. We are human and do make mistakes. I can only apologize for that. It should have been midweek.
Regarding the "We got your money" comment, I vemenently deny saying that, even as a joke. It is absolutely not humerous in any way and I am particularly careful around comments such as this.
A 1 week stay includes 1 maid service, with clean towels and linens. Our properties such as this are not hotels and this caye will sustain only so much in the way of detergents put into the sand. We are slowing killing our reef with overuse and try to be responsible for our environmental actions.
The owners of the cottage, altho close by, are considered an asset to the property. They are as social or not, as the guests require. They are cognizant of the fact some people want privacy and try very hard to minimalize their impact on the guests.
I am sorry you didn't feel welcome at the cottage. It was cetainly not anyone's intent to make you feel that way. We take our service very seriously and make all efforts to ensure our guests enjoy their time at our properties.
We will address the scheduling of maid services to ensure they are properly spaced and will also ensure future guests know of the proximity of others at this particular property.

Once again we had a vacation in paradise. The location, the people and the weather were all we could hope for. We stayed here in March of 2012 and have already booked our stay for spring of 2014. We could not imagine staying anywhere else.

We stayed in this cottage for 10 days and had a wonderful time!
The owners were friendly and very informative on island life in
the Cayes. This cottage has recently been all renovated with
beautiful wood floors, and has a small kitchen if we wanted to do some of our own cooking.. Life on Caye Caulker is very laid back and
relaxing.
It is breath taking to awaken to the aqua blue water of the Caribbean.
The snorkeling trips were amazing, as Caye Caulker is a half mile
to the Barrier Reef, which is the second largest in the world, so it
is filled with colorful fish, sea turtles, rays and nurse sharks.
The location for us was perfect as well. The cottage came with bikes
so riding to the village was easy. Welcome to Paradise! -

This place is located away from the center of town so your nights are peaceful and you can really see the stars. Town is just a short bicycle ride away for dinner (Don Corleone's has the best sea food lasagne!) and or shopping. You have great views of the water which is just steps away. There is good snorkeling just off the dock. Kim and Ruby from Caye Caulker Rentals do a great job of arranging transport to and from Belize City as well as any excusions you want to add to your stay. This is a great place to unwind!

What a great experience. From the moment we stepped off the boat, we were in the expert hands of the legendary Kim. Not only does he know everything about the island, everybody knows him. Clean, safe, beautiful, air-conditioned, comfortable, private, octopi and shooting stars right off the dock. Young couple from VT, perfect for a week stay. Be sure to get scuba certified by Bert at Scuba Sensation.
