Colinda Cabanas is located on a safe quiet Caribbean beachfront property on the island of Caye Caulker in Belize. Facing the reef, we are blessed with an almost constant Cool North-Easterly breeze. Most nights star-gazing is amazing while listening to the surf breaking on the reef. Naturalists and children alike will enjoy the abundant species of migratory birds, reptiles and marine life.

This bright and airy beachfront home has 2 completely self contained up/down suites and is ideal for families or 2 couples. The huge outside covered decks with chairs and a table offer unsurpassed ocean views. There are several well-screened windows a...nd wall-fans providing good ventilation. As you enter the suites there is a dining table and living room area. There is a very comfortable futon in the living room which converts into double bed. Inside the private bedrooms come with cable television and air conditioning and a comfortable queen sized bed with fitted sheets and comfy pillows. A well appointed full kitchen will satisfy most travelers needs. The bathroom shower and wash basin have a good supply of hot reverse osmosis purified water. There is also a 5-gallon purified water bottle on stand. Free WiFi in room. A 175' long dock with palapa and hammocks and safe swimming area completes the picture. Bring a bathing suit, a good book and a beach towel.

We also supply 4 complimentary adult bicycles , as well as a good supply of snorkel gear available on a first come basis and have 2 kayaks available on a reservation basis : all @ no extra charge !

We also supply complimentary daily housekeeping service (if desired)

Regional Disclaimer: The island of Caye Caulker is in the coastal Caribbean / tropical region of Belize. While this provides incredible beauty and natural wonders from sky to sea, it also means that, heat, humidity, sudden tropical squalls and power outages are common occurrences.Living on a beach surrounded by jungle also means an abundance of Geckos, Iguanas, ants, and land crabs.Occasionally sand flies and mosquitoes can also be problematic.

That said, we do everything we can to ensure your stay is comfortable and pleasant.....

We are located about a 5 minute walk from the nearest store or restaurant. Or 2 minutes by bicycle.

Our exact location on Caye Caulker is as follows:

From the 2 water taxi piers located on the front of the island ; step off the end of the pier, take a left and walk 10 minutes South along the beach. We are beside the Anchorage Resort.

From the airport : Walk 400 feet to the beach. Turn left and walk North along the beach for 3 minutes.

From the back (water jets) pier walk 50 yards to middle street, turn right and walk 10 minutes along middle street.

Middle street ends at our property.

If you arrive tired or with a pile of luggage; taxis charge U.S. $2.50 per person and only take a few minutes to get to our place.Read more

Additional Location Information

Located on a gorgeous white sand beach facing the reef. We are in a quiet area with not much traffic. The closest restauraant is about a 5 minute walk away or 2 minutes via complimentary bicycles. For those who have difficulty walking, golf cart taxis are available at $2.50 per person.
If you like to party till the wee hours and be in the heart of the action; this location will not be suitable for you.

  After eight years my husband and I finally got our birthday and anniversary spring break of lounging on the beach. I am a teacher in Minnesota and by april I am desperate for sunshine, shorts and swimsuits. Colinda Cabanas was my spring break paradise. Colin is a fabulous host with an infectious laugh. Our cabana was cleaned everyday by kind and friendly staff. Go slow, smile, and enjoy island life is what Colinda Cabanas is all about!
