Description from the manager

These two cozy side-by-side apartments are situated in a peaceful little sandy cove right across from famous Rum Point where there is a restaurant, bar, shop and water sports. Located in the lovely residential area of Cayman Kai, they are a 45 minute drive from the airport and George Town, but there are many other restaurants, attractions and a grocery store within a short drive.

      Haven in Rum Point

Left on 05/14/2012 for a stay in May 2012

We visited Rum Haven for our 3rd anniversary and although we are residents of Grand Cayman, this made no difference on the amazing time we had staying here.

The condo is just what we were looking for; small, intimate, with all the amenities and specially very quiet and private. But, it's also super close to fabulous Rum Point Beach which has a restaurant, a gift shop and great snorkeling.

I would definitely recommend Rum Haven to anybody that wants to enjoy a "piece of heaven".

If you are traveling from abroad you would definitely need a car to get there or to drive around and explore other areas of the island, but trust me, after driving for a while you will be looking forward to come back to this quiet area and just chill with a Rum Punch!

      Cosy and Laid Back

Left on 04/04/2012 for a stay in March 2012

We rented Rum Haven for a long weekend staycation and had a really nice time. Perfect size for a couple although they have a sofa bed if you were to add more. Rum Point just across the road with drinks, food, watersports and a really nice beach and turquoise waters. The condo also looks onto a water inlet from the ocean which you can kayak up. The bioluminescence tours go right by here if you pick the right times of the month (no moon). The condo was well equipped with kitchen equipment, etc - everything you need in a home. The owners (and property manager) clearly take good care of this place. All in all I'd highly recommend this to prospective guests, ideally a couple due to the size.

Rum Point was amazingly beautiful!!! I miss it terribly!!!

Left on 06/28/2011 for a stay in June 2011

It was great having a gorgeous, peaceful cove in our back yard, and Rum Point beach being right across the road from us was fabulous. I would recommend renting a vehicle, though, in case you want to go sight-seeing or want to get groceries, try other restaurants around the island, etc.
The snorkeling at Rum Point is exhilarating if you find the right spots. Swimming w/the stingrays is something you must do. Don't miss Botanic Park--gorgeous!!! The views of the ocean were breath-taking, just be sure not to take in any of the salty water! Lol! We saw so many cool sea creatures at Rum Point which made our honeymoon so memorable! The wave-runner safari was exciting!
The staff at Red Sail Sports and the gift shop on the beach were so helpful and fun. Although the property manager didn't bring out seats for the kayak as stated, she and her friend went out of their way making us feel welcome. Not only did they wait up for us to arrive after a cancelled flight and several delays, they provided us with a ride to the grocery and to a car rental location once we decided a rental was going to be about the same cost as taking a taxi. To top it off, they had gifts and a bottle of champagne chilling in the fridge for us as we had just married the day before. How sweet!!! Lo was awesome !
Mary-Dale and Penny at Cayman Villas were awesome as well--very friendly and helpful! Mary-Dale was very prompt in answering any questions I had, and she called to check in with us after we got to the island. Penny was a life-saver the day/night our flights kept getting yanked around.

      Excellent condo in idyllic location

Left on 04/14/2011 for a stay in April 2011

far from the madding crowds this was an ideal spot for us. Plenty of space for a one-bedroomed condo and exceptionally well equipped. Being able to walk across the street and step into the sea - just amazing.
