Antwerp - Belgiumsuperb place to relax
Left on 08/28/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We loved the "Rouge". To be honnest, we did not do much sightseeing during the week we were in Cazillac. The house was so lovely that we spend most of our days in the garden just reading and enjoying the summer. In the evenings we sat watching the stars. The Moulin de Malecoste is a wonderful place to relax!

Johannesburg South AfricaRural French Perfection!!

We have been lucky enough to spend quite a bit of time in France but have never come across such a peaceful, beautiful area.Moulin de Malcoste is special and attention to detail superior. Cazillac and surrounding areas represent the quintessential French countryside and lifestyle, visiting the Saturday market in Brive is a must. All the Gites are beautifully decorated and care has been taken to give visitors an authentic experience with the comforts of home. If you are lucky enough to be there when Heather ( the owner) is visiting, you may be invited into the main kitchen to experience her culinary delights. We spent 4 weeks traveling through Europe and all our children of various ages agree that Moulin de Malcoste was the best part of their trip. Cant wait to go back!

Our stay in 'Rouge' was sublime! The beautifully renovated Gite was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed for ourselves and the children. The setting was idyllic and Heather and Rad were enormously helpful and hospitable. Our young girls loved the surrounding area, especially swimming in the nearby river. The weather was perfect ...can't wait to go back!

Having stayed three times, I just adore the peace and tranquility one feels. Charming hospitality and so much within a short radius of places to see and different activities to do. Every wish is catered for and personalised and the home comforts one could wish for. A most beautiful part of France set in a quiet, rural area and designed for couples and families who prefer self-catering. In short - magnifique!

The Moulin gives you a glimpse of what life would be like living in one of the most beautiful areas in France. The Moulin and it's countryside are incredibly charming and from the moment you arrive you are gently lead into a holiday of relaxation and exploring. Enjoy.

I stayed at the Moulin quite a while ago whilst traveling alone in France. In fact I was only going to be in Paris but had time on my hands so decided to visit based on a recommendation. I came across this page again now and it deserves a long-overdue review.
The quaint Moulin is a beautifully restored and exquisitely appointed 400 year-old property. I was alone on my trip, it was a perfect opportunity to read, relax and explore the nearby historic villages. I couldn't help but constantly think of how perfect it would be for a romantic getaway with my partner, or a small group of good friends with great local food and wine. It's the kind of place you can forget about everything and slip into another place and time without realizing.
Perfect as part of a bigger road trip, or as a destination itself.
I doubt I'd bother going anywhere else If I was able to get back to this area.
