This almost new 1875 + sq. ft townhome (the west, or left side of the building.) is located in the heart of the “Festival City USA” of Cedar City, Utah.

On the main floor you will find one bedroom with a detached bathroom, laundry facilities, living room dining area and a full-equipped kitchen.

The two upstairs bedrooms feature on-suite bathrooms and walk-in closets. Each bedroom has a queen size bed. One bedroom has a twin roll away bed in the closet. Each bedroom and the living room have cable TV.

The main floor and upstairs will accommodate six adults + another if you use the roll away.

The connecting basemen...t can also be added on. The only additional charge is a $40 + tax cleaning fee above the regular $60 fee, for a total of $100 for the cleaning fee. It has a bedroom with a queen bed, an on suite 3/4 bath, a small kitchenette and an additional family room. It also has a queen hide a bed. Adding the basement will allow 4 more to sleep in the unit, 5 if you use an additional roll away bed.

So when you add all three levels you have 4 bedrooms, 4 baths and two living rooms!

This is an ideal place for several couples who want to vacation together with separate bathroom facilities. It is also a great place for large families.

We like to think of Red Door Lodging as a “Make Your Own Bed and Breakfast.” A pancake breakfast starter kit and a coffee/hot cocoa starter pack is our gift to you upon your arrival.

The kitchen is stocked with the amenities you will need to make your stay both enjoyable and economical. There is even a crock pot so you can have something delicious waiting for you when you get back from your hike, trip to Zion National Park, or many of the other activities that are available here.

The furnishings are comfortable, yet not overwhelming. Things are decorated tastefully without going overboard. We believe that people are looking for nice, clean accommodations that are close to the places that they want to go to. Southern Utah University and both theater festivals are a few blocks away.

At 5857 feet above sea level, Cedar City has much more moderate temperatures in the summer compared to its more well known neighbor 50 miles south, St. George, Utah.

This equates to beautiful evenings that can be spent in the open-air seating of several of the Shakespeare plays put on each year during the world famous Tony Award-winning Utah Shakespeare Festival, which now includes a fall schedule. They also have indoor productions if that is more to your liking.

The Neil Simon Festival also has plays during the summer which are held indoors at the Heritage Center during July and August.

As you can tell from the photos, we have not done any landscaping yet. We hope that you did not want to come to southern Utah to look at our landscaping. So, it looks a little stark on the outside, but is nice and homey on the inside.

We have had a lot of rentals, but this is our second year into the vacation rental business. We feel like we are offering a good alternative to people looking for nice accommodations without having three connecting motel rooms with no kitchen. Of course you will have to make your own bed and breakfast, but sometimes you just don’t want to eat with people you don’t know.

If you are wondering how far away some of these world class attractions are here is a list of some of the most popular ones:

Utah Shakespeare Festival- .45 miles (about 4 1/2 blocks)

Neil Simon Festival- .27 miles (about 3 1/2 blocks)

St. George, Utah- 52 miles, (about 50 minutes)

Las Vegas, Nevada- 170 miles, about 2 hours, 30 minutes

Brian Head Ski Resort; 33 miles, about 45 minutes

Lake Powell- 155 miles, about 3 hours

Cedar Breaks National Monument- 26 miles, about 40 minutes

Bryce Canyon National Park- 80 miles, about 1 hour, 40 minutes

Zion National Park- 60 miles, 1 hour, 15 minutes

North Rim of the Grand Canyon- 169 miles, 3 hours, 30 minutes

Zion Park, Kolob Canyons- 25 miles, 35 minutes

There are a lot of other places to go in this part of the world and we must say that the sites are breathtaking and awe-inspiring! You might come away a changed person with a new outlook on life.

While you may come just to attend one of the festivals, there are things to do year-round here as well. It seems like with the amount of snow we have received this year that Brian Head and the other ski resorts in Utah might be open past June. After the snow is gone they have other things going on up in the cool night elevations of the mountains. Mountain biking, hiking, and lake fishing are always popular.

If you are more adventurous, you might try renting a Harley and letting the wind blow through you hair as you look up at the majestic cliffs of Zion Park without the car roof blocking your view.Read more

Additional Location Information

Located in the downtown area of Cedar City, this location is great for having everything close by. Just blocks away from the Neil Simon Festival and the Shakespeare Festival you can just walk from your comfortable accomodations. There is a modern grocery store a few blocks away and the new aquatic center is only a 5 minute drive. The city park is just a few blocks away as well. If you are looking for Walmart or other stores they are also about 5 minutes away.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the condo in Cedar City. Carolyn was a great hostess as she responded to our emails asking questions and was ready to provide us with an extra roll away for our 2 year old granddaughter.
  
  The condo is modern with provincial furniture, decorations in brown tones and tile floors. With an extra bedroom on the main floor, the condo was perfect for our family.
  
  Even little extras were included, waffle mix, butter and syrup and shampoo, conditioner and facial cleansing wipes in the bathrooms.

  We were skiing at Brian Head and we stayed in this wonderful townhouse. This place was very roomy and very clean with all the necessary amenities. It was completely stocked with everything we could need. It was better than described in the listing! The kitchen utensils and laundry on main floor were great. My family was extremely pleased with my choice of this home. The owners were easy to work with. No doubt we will stay here again when we come back to Cedar City. Thanks for the great stay!!
