Cefalù is a tiny fisherman village facing the sun of Mediterraneo. In Cefalù you can have a simple walk through the narrow streets of the old town and enjoy both the history and the fun. The Duomo of Cefalù, a massive Norman style church built by Roger II is one of the most important monuments of Italy.
The cathedral dominates the Piazza del Duomo and ends at the top of the mountain foothills. Remains of the daily way of life are represented by the medieval wash-house, where women went to wash clothes, thanks to drain to the sea of spring waters arising from the fortress. From the massive Rocca you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the town, and the remains of Temple of Diana and the Castle.
And yet the Osterio Magno, the megalithic walls, the many churches, all the wine bars, restaurants and the nightlife.

A great place to stay in Cefalu. The rooms are clean and modern, the room was comfortable, and breakfast was really good. Excellent value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed in the Warhol room, which was very spacious as was the bathroom with lovely views from the balcony. The location was excellent, a short walk to the waterfront, an excellent restaurant and cafes close by. The B&B; is expertly managed by Mari and her husband who prepare excellent breakfasts for you. You fill out your breakfast order the night before and indicate what time you'd like to eat. When you arrive in the breakfast/reception room, your table is all prepared for you. Each item, from the freshly squeezed OJ to the croissants to the coffee were superb. Mari was available when we checked in and in the mornings to answer any questions we might have and to recommend restaurants. She and her husband even checked with their families about a family from Cefalu for whom my sister works in Maryland.
The building in which this B&B; is located has a side entrance and the sign on the street is quite small. The staircase leading up one flight of steps to the B&B; is beautiful and spacious with marble steps and a wrought iron railing.
I would love to spend time there when it's a little warmer to swim at the beautiful, sandy, expansive beach.
