This charming secluded Trullo is set in three acres of gated grounds overlooking the beautiful Vallee D'Itria , with a 14m x7.5m private salt-water pool. Sweeping countryside views give a real feeling of privacy and tranquility despite being only 4km from the ancient centre of Ceglie Messapica.

The property is perfect for family or friends wanting a shared holiday combined with some independence, equally suitable for couples seeking a private romantic hideaway. Let as a single property sleeping 4-8, the accommodation is provided in two adjacent buildings, the Trullo and the Lamia, and a third (the wooden 'Casetta'), situated by t...he swimming pool. Each unit has separate entrance, bedroom, shower room, seating, fridge & electric kettle. The large shared kitchen/dining room is in the Lamia, with wooden refectory table seating 8. Glass wall to wall doors open fully on to the garden.

Although everyone has access to their own private quarters, much of life goes on alfresco: A spacious wooden deck overlooks the pool with comfortable wooden loungers, reclining armchairs and dining table seating 8. An additional outdoor kitchen area has a traditional wood burning oven, electric and wood barbecues, marble preparation slabs and further seating for 8 under a covered bamboo gazebo. The herb garden is close by. The pool is surrounded by a large cool-stone terrace with plentiful loungers & hammocks. Sip your cocktails on the roof terrace for spectacular views over the valley. The mediterranean garden is planted with characteristic gnarled old olive, fig, palm trees, jacaranda, mimosa, cyprus, pomegranate, prickly pear and fruits and nuts of all kinds. Pick anything in season for yourselves.

Strategically placed to access the splendid beaches of both the Adriatic and Ionic seas, you are also close to the entrancing old towns of Ostuni, Cisternino, Locorotondo and Martina Franca and there is easy access to Alberobello (the Trulli town), Castellana Grotto and Lecce ('the Florence of the South').Read more

The property is located about 4km from Ceglie Messapica, a non-touristic (as yet) town dating back to Messapican times and well named as as 'the cité of art and gastronomy', providing some of the best restaurants in Puglia. The Trullo is situated at the end of a long private drive coming off a quiet lane, leading to ample private and safe parking for as many cars as you want. There is a sense of peace and tranquility looking over the famous Vallée D'Itria, yet you are within easy access of other charming historic towns such as Ostuni, Cisternino, Martina Franca, Alberobello and Lecce, and the beautiful beaches of both the Adriatic and Ionic Seas.
