Modern and bright, this attractive villa is located amid quiet, semi wooded countryside in the Ratzakli area of Kefalonia. It enjoys picturesque views from its pretty outdoor areas. The villa rests in a peaceful location near the villages of Skala (3kms) and Katelios (2Kms), also a short drive from Kaminia Beach (700m) where idyllic sands and sparkling seas await. The charming peach-painted exterior gives way to a fresh, airy interior, with an expansive sitting-kitchen-dining room on the ground floor. The sleek kitchen is superbly equipped, featuring a full dining table. The adjoining living area is comfortably furnished with sofas and a... large screen TV. Full glass doors lead to the enticing and amply sized poolside terrace, which enjoys the sun for most of the day and looks over trees to provide the perfect peaceful backdrop for sunbathing and al-fresco meals. The three ensuite bedrooms are finished in attractive style. Villa Asterea is authorized by the Greek National Tourist Office (E.O.T).Read more

We were welcomed to the villa by the owner who obviously took great pride in looking after the villa and making sure our needs were met. We had every thing we needed and the wine on arrival was delicious! We were also given water and other basic neccesities when we arrived. The cilla was maintained to a very high standard and was beautifully furnished and well stocked with equipment. The garden and pool areas were clean and the loungers were comfortable. The location was just outside of Scala and was easily accesible by car, the views from the balconies were stunning and the surrounding villas were not intimidatingly close. The beds were comfortable and overall we have stayed in more expensive villas and they have not been as well kept and furnished as Villa asterea. I would reccommend staying at this villa. The villa was also well equiped for disabled visitors.

We had another wonderful holiday at Villa asterea following in our footsteps of last year. As always, the island of Kefalonia was very beautiful, the weather was hot and sunny and the villa was like a home from home. The villa and the pool were kept in immaculate condition and the garden was a pleasure to sit in. There are some lovely bars and tavernas nearby but a car is a must!

This was our first visit to Kefalonia. We did not know anything about the Island, so we made the decision to rent this villa based on earlier reviews. And we were not disappointed! The villa is well kept, and everything was just as described and depicted, if not better. The owner or his father came by every day to tend to the pool, and a nice lady came to clean twice a week. A bonus was that the villa had Wi-Fi installed just before we came, so we could use our computer and smartphone whenever needed.
The villas best feature was, for us, its location. It's a short drive from Skala, with its stone/pebble beach, nice restaurants, charming small shops, multiple supermarkets and a park with a playground. But because the villa is within walking distance of to the beautiful Kaminia beach, which is said to be the best beach for families with children with its soft sand, shallow waters and no currents and of course crystal clear water, we didn't have to go to Skala if we didn't want to. There are to tavernas on the beach, and the second one has good food, a beautiful view, a separate snackbar down by the beach and free umbrellas and sunbeds.
We hope to come back to Kefaloni, to discover more of this beautiful islands secrets. And when we (hopefully) do we wish to return to Villa asterea. It was a perfect, relaxing holiday - sun, sand and sea, along with interesting history, stunning nature and a feel of the genuine Greek way of life.

The house was well equipped and looked after in an excellent way. The owner's father came every other day to tidy the gardens, and attend to the pool. Nothing was too much trouble for him.
The house had every amenity you could wish for, and it was tastefully presented. The pool area was superb with loungers, umbrellas and a built in barbecue to the side. It also had a table & chairs with umbrella to the side of the pool. The garden at the rear of the property was very nice, and you could sit there when the sun went off the pool at about 6 o'clock ish.
The villa was a short walk (downhill) to the nearest beach, but a bit of a trek uphill on the way back. The nearest town was a 5 minute drive away.
It was a brilliant holiday which we would certainly do again, and the villa was a must to visit again for comfort and rest.
The island of Kefalonia was very pretty, lovely views, and ver friendly people.

we stayed at the villa one week in July 2012, a party of 5 adults and 2 kids. The villa matches perfectly the description given on the web. Three bedrooms witha air conditioning, a big living room, enjoyable swimming pool and terrace. Very nice beach walking distance. A perfect stay for us. We would try to stay again in the villa if we return to Kefalonia.

The facilities were excellent ideal for the young the mature and families. Every facility has been carefully thought out and nothing as been missed out. The facilities were kept clean and bedding changed twice weekly the pool was tended on a daily basis. We were welcomed in true Greek style and couldn't fault the service we received. I would recommend these facilities to anyone with pride.

We had a cracking time at villa asteria. We would certainly recemmend others to the villa, it had everything you could wish for and more. The service of Wendy and Dennis was excellent and the hospitality and kindness shown by Dennis and Katrina was second to none. It is a holiday memory that will stay with us, and our friends Ray and June who shared the villa with us, for a long time. We did discuss anything that was missing from the villa and we couldn 't find anything that we missed or would have liked as an addition.

The service we received was excellent. The owner and his wife were there to greet us and show us around this beautiful and well appointed villa. It was spacious, very well equipped and the window meshes were invaluable. The pool was beautiful and extremely well maintained almost on a daily basis. The villa was situated in the quiet southern area of the island but was just a short drive for villages, tavernas and restaurants. A 2 minute drive to the lovely quiet, safe sandy beach with sun beds and umbrellas and 2 rustic tavernas serving snacks and drinks offered and ideal place to relax, and ideal for children. The hillside location provided a beautiful view of the sea and allowed us to relax with the bbq and pool around the villa for many of our evenings.
Finally for us the stars of the holiday were the owner and his wife who were wonderful people.
Beautiful country, warm and friendly people, wonderful weather, delicious food, breathtaking scenery, lovely clear and warm sea. Looking forward to returning next year.

The villa was perfect for us, having a lovely large pool with shallow end and steps making it great for the children. The facilities were excellent, even providing a selection of pool inflatables. The villa itself was very well furnished and kitted out with everything you would need. The owner visited daily to check everything was OK. Very peaceful location, all you could hear was the hum of cicadas and the bells on the sheep in the nearby fields. Beach was just a couple of minutes drive away and Katelios with a selection of tavernas was about 5 minutes by car.

We have a wonderful time at this beautiful, immaculate villa. Perfect, quite location but close to restaurants and beautiful beaches. Our two boys (2 an 4) adored the pool as well as the beaches and the warm welcome in all the tavernas
