Just a stone throw from the tiny, normally deserted, cove of Paliomos you will find Villa Dias Rock. On the edge of the small village of Kleismata in the Livathos countryside above the sea is this delightful two storey, two bedroom villa.
Views from the villa are down the valley to the turquoise waters of the Ionian Sea and the tiny islet of Dias with its little monastery and across the channel to the neighbouring island of Zakynthos.
Finished to a very high standard, with feature stonework, this recently completed villa has an open plan living area with fully fitted kitchen, leading through a feature archway to the living area... with comfortable modern sofas, TV and DVD player. On this level is also a twin bedroom with an ensuite shower room and plenty of wardrobe space. French doors lead out into the garden from both the bedroom and living area.
Upstairs is a double bedroom, with an ensuite shower room. French doors lead out onto a balcony. There is also a separate door from the landing which leads to a roof terrace. Views from the 1st floor are panoramic, both to the countryside behind and down to the sea and across to Zakynthos.
The landscaped gardens are mainly laid to lawn with paved walkways and pretty flower beds together with a number of trees and shrubs. There is a barbeque in the grounds and also an outdoor table with chairs under a sun canopy which is perfect for those lazy evenings in. The fresh water swimming pool adds the finishing touch to this lovely villa, with sunbeds and a large parasol for additional shade.
The nearby village of Spartia is just a 5 minute drive which has a couple of minimarkets and a taverna. There are also three more tavernas close to the beach in Spartia, two of which specialise in fresh fish. The beach here is unspoilt with gently shelving sand. You will not find any sunbeds and umbrellas for hire and so it does remain relatively quiet. However in high season it is quite popular with the visiting Italians so is not as quiet as normal, but perfect for people watching!
Exploring in the area is easy with plenty of beaches to visit, all of which are sandy and gently shelving, some with facilities, others almost deserted, although just that little bit harder to find, but well worth the extra effort. If you are interested in history then this is the perfect base with the Byzantian Castle of St George, Mycenian tombs of Mazerakata and the Nunnery of St Andreas, with the well preserved sole of his foot, all within a 10 minute drive. The Island’s capitol Argostoli is just 20 minutes away, perfect for shopping or maybe an evening out.
The 2nd week half price offer is not applicable to this villa.
Please note that this property’s availability is on request. We will contact you shortly after booking to confirm. We recommend booking your flights after the villa has been confirmed.Read more
