Our beautiful villa was built in 2006. For holiday rental is the upper floor apartment (82 sq m + 32 sq m balconies) with stunning views to the Ionian Sea. Built & equipped to the very highest standard, there are 2 bedrooms, each with en-suite facilities; bedroom 1; double, with a sea-facing balcony. Bedroom 2; twin or super-king size double, & own balcony. Air conditioned throughout, the apartment has a fully equipped modern kitchen complete with oven/hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, combination microwave, coffee machine, toaster, plenty of crockery+cutlery & all that the self-caterer may need. The large open plan living are...a has a dining table & 6 chairs, two leather sofas (sofa-beds), WiFi internet, TV/DVD,satellite TV / radio, CD player & iPod dock, opening to a large covered dining balcony with a stunning view to the sea. The villa has a private pool ( shared with the downstairs apartment) with a large patio, 8 sun-loungers, barbecue & decking where you can sit in a swinging seat in the shade of mature olive trees.

Stunning views from the front of the villa are of olive groves & cypress trees to the Ionian Sea.

The beautiful Avithos beach is just 15 minutes walk ( 3 or 4 minutes by car) with two excellent tavernas just above. There is parking at the beach, which has two nice tavernas & a beach bar. This sandy beach is popular with the Greek locals, but rarely busy, unlike some of the large beaches around Lassi

Kalligata is about 15 min drive from the capital, Argostoli, where you can find good restaurants, harbour-side bars & tavernas, internet café, and a range of shopping to suit every taste. (The hospital is also very good). A lovely harbour town with a wonderful, friendly atmosphere.

  We stayed in Villa Heliades for one week, and loved it so much we will be going back again! This was our first visit to Greece, and Kefalonia was even more beautiful than we had imagined! I can see why people rave about the island!
  Villa Heliades is in a tranquil spot with spectacular views over the lemon groves out towards the sea. (the photos at www.villaheliades.com are a good representation). The recently built villa is tastefully decorated in a contemporary style with air conditioning etc, carefully maintained by a local management company and the pool is a very welcome respite from the heat. There was even a welcome pack on our arrival!
  We arranged a hire car through ainos Travel office in argostoli (who are very obliging) which was essential if you want to explore the island with all its secluded beaches and atmospheric tavernas. There are a few lively beaches which appealed to our teenagers as there was more 'going on' although most of the smaller beaches were deserted! For the most delicious home-baked cakes, along with spectacular views visit 'Kastro' a small taverna run by an Englishwoman and her Greek husband, which is just a short drive from the Villa.You'll keep going back!
  
  One week wasn't long enough to relax and explore the island. There is so much to see and visit if you can be drawn away from beside the villa's pool! It was a dream holiday which I look forward to experiencing again-very soon!
