Between the misty mountains and breathtaking coastline of the island of Kefalonia stands Villa Odysseus. As in Greek myth, Odysseus is brilliant and versatile. Bring your group of 4 guests and lounge poolside with expansive views of the Ionian Sea, or take a short drive to explore the shops, eateries and taverns of the Village of Lourdas.
There’s a reason our guests return year after year. Our family-owned villas have been meticulously maintained and cared for, and we live close by. If you are traveling with a larger group, we have a nearly identical villa for rent next door on the same secluded 4 acres. Rent both to sleep 8 adults and share a holiday to remember.
High Above the Sea
Our cliffside location offers uninterrupted panoramic views of the blue horizon, where the hillside terrain creates a private retreat. Located at the end of a secluded road, you won’t hear any traffic here...just ocean breezes.
Spend a scenic afternoon renting a small boat and travel to the serene Lefka Beach, located just under your cliff-side villa. Explore the dazzling sea caves via kayak, or take a short drive to sunbathe on one of the most famous beaches on the island, Lourdas Beach. A great sandy beach for families, Lourdas features boat and canoe rentals, jet ski excursions, and more. Drive just two miles and swim in the sparkling waters of Koroni Beach.
Inside the Villa
Unwind in a dreamy master bedroom that includes a double-bed and an en-suite bathroom with hydro-massage shower. Guests will be equally comfortable in the luminous 2nd bedroom, which has 2 twin-sized beds. From either bedroom, step out onto a private sunny balcony and enjoy the ocean view. Post-beach clean-up is simple with a 2nd full bathroom with a jetted tub and a downstairs washing machine.
Homemade pottery and paintings, the work of a dear friend, adorn the walls in the cozy living room, where you can gather with loved ones. The charming and functional kitchen provides all the essentials for a seaside dinner. Or fire up the BBQ grill by the pool. Enjoy at the wood dining table inside, then pour a glass of local wine to savor on the breezy veranda.

A picturesque setting in a private, traffic-free location makes our villa an ideal spot for quiet, romantic getaways and spending time with loved ones.
Though Kefalonia is gorgeous year-round, our favorite time of the year on the island is May or September, when the ocean breezes are calm and the temperature is just right. August is another lovely time to visit: take-in the gorgeous full, blue moon through your bedroom windows.
Kefalonia offers limestone coves, sandy beaches and a rich heritage. A 10-minute drive takes you into the Village of Lourdas, and it’s 15-miles to Argostoli, the bustling capital. Delicious food is around every corner and wineries are abundant, as well. Hike, rent a bike or jeep, and drive into the mountains to explore the rare black fir trees and wild horses of the forest. Our Service
Taking good care of our guests is our primary goal, and we personally manage our two villas to an exceptional standard.
We always welcome our guests at the airport and will provide any recommendations or assistance you need to be completely comfortable here. Early check-ins and late check-outs are available upon request.
When you arrive you will find a welcome pack with pantry items like a bottle of local wine, fresh seasonal fruits, milk, coffee, sugar, bread, local cheeses, refreshments, beers and more, plus amenities like soaps, shower gel, shampoo, body lotion, bath salts, and a sewing kit.
Villa Odysseus can accommodate up to 4 adults and a baby up to 2 years old in a baby cot.
The spacious private pool area features umbrellas and wooden deck chairs for sunbathing and a shower. The pool itself (4 x 7 m and max depth 1.70 m) is ecological and water overflowing.
All rooms feature air conditioning and luxury furnishings. Complimentary Wi-Fi is also provided.
